My most hated team in the division against my most hated team outside of it. No winners here. I'm hoping for a really ugly game where the winner gets their *** kicked next week by the winner of the Broncos/Colts game. I don't know if I'll even watch, to be honest. Sickens me that these two are always here.
I don't get the hate for Baltimore. Sure they usually beat us in close games but that's due to us beating ourselves. Their D is elite year after year. Flacco is damn good playoff QB. Steve Smith fits right into their culture. Suggs is a beast of a pass rusher. I wish our team had their swag. They just straight up whoop ***. Reminds me alot of those UM teams from the 80s-early 2000s.
I've hated both the personalities and playing stlye of the team since they became the Ravens. Bullies and jerks (and criminals) off the field and on. The absolute polar opposite of what I like.
I respect that. But IMO this is football, choir boys won't win you squat. You need guys with an edge. To me our team has been way too soft over the years.
I don't like either teams, I can't stand Flacco I've lost too much money betting on that team and he always fails me. And the Patriots are the Patriots, don't like them by default.
This is kind of a tough game. I'm not really rooting for either team. I have a deep seated hatred of everything Patriots, and I've never really like the Ravens, going back to Ray Lewis. This year the whole Ray Rice thing has just left a bad taste in my mouth. Still, if I have to pick a team to root for, I guess I'll cheer for the Ravens. Reluctantly.
If the Broncos make it past the colts, this is an opportunity for Manning to remake his offseason legacy. A road win at Foxboro would be big. I admit I am skeptical though.
This whole era of passing is because Manning cried about the patriots DBs after yet another playoff loss. NFL redoes how they enforce the 5 yard contact rule, and bam, Marino's records start dropping like flies. I no likey Brady but f*** Manning. That said, see what Belichick did with the 4 offensive linemen? Harbaugh is crying foul, but it was legal. Belichick really is the best coach in the league by far. You can point out they haven't won the Super Bowl in how many years, but has anyone dominated the league for this long? 4 straight AFCG is it now? I really hope Belichick doesn't find another QB.
Love Manning. Favorite non-Fin of all time. Brady is a piece of ****. Hate the dude. And what the Pats did may be legal, but it is NOT in the spirit of the game and is dirty. Screw the bastards. I really hope the league closes that loophole this spring. Every time someone finds a dirty trick like this, the overall game suffers.
If it's legal, how is it not in the spirit of the game? You know what else is deceptive? Play action pass. Here we are, thinking you're going to hand it off and run the ball, and you fuggin turn around and pass it. We should eliminate play action passes. Flea Flickers too. And the Wildcat. Dear god the Wildcat. Ronnie Brown throwing the football? Total deception.
