This all gets ripped out including the concrete... Seats will be closer to the field. 12:00 PM - 5 Jan 2015 Tom Garfinkel. Screw that old thread, there is a picture circulating where it shows a pic of some rows in a section then he attaches this statement to it..would like to know wth he's talking about?? I can't post the pic that's attached to the tweet..help please?
Entire 100 level ripped out new precast.. All new rake.. 25 to 30 feet closet R.. So new precast concrete
They have already started ripping out seats.. Season ticket holders my be able to get some of the old ones
can you use that picture and give me an idea what your saying? I can't conceptualize it..how are they gonna move the lower bowl closer and leave the upper bowl the same distance? Won't that be weird?
What if he means he's just gonna knock out that concrete and just add some rows that will take its place thus adding some seats this bring those rows closer to the field, I don't think it's the whole section being moved closer.?
Heres a link dude that will give you an idea of how they make and use precast stadium seating http://precast.org/2010/11/raising-the-roof-precast-takes-sports-stadiums-to-new-levels-2/
I'm happy for you DJ. You have been the main proponent on this forum for a renovated stadium and now it appears the work has begun. Also did you read where the Rams owner purchased land outside L.A. and he plans to built his own stadium and move the Rams from ST. Louis.? It is nice for me to see another owner who is willing to fund his own stadium and not expect the tax payers to pay for it for him. I hope this is a lesson for all the other cities with NFL teams. If the owner wants the taxpayers to pay for a new stadium or renovations to an existing stadium. Tell the rich owner to pay for it himself. Taxpayers should never have to pay for stadiums IMO. Especially since only a very small percentage of the taxpayers in a city or county ever attend an event in these stadiums.
They said they're ripping out all the concrete. That means theyll have to repour the concrete. The lower bowl will be closer, because they'll be adding more seats.
By saying all and then being sure to mention including the concrete specifically, I think it is pretty safe to conclude there is more than just the concrete being ripped out DJ.
I think it will be key for attracting events, but if all their gonna do is add some rows at the bottom, pretty much just extending the bottom section then there won't be any competitive advantage, fans will still be too far away to feel engaged into the action..
The new sections will be made of precast.... Heres an idea of what he means...and why they will be closer to the field and with a new rake:
No Deej...they seating section is made prefab...and then moved in....they seats are going to be closer to the field by 30-50 feet
Stringer...stop fu@&in with me here..are you saying their gonna build a whole new lower bowl? I mean they can't do it one section and not the other?
You shut your dirty whorish mouth..lol Where does it say we're gonna bring in these remade sections then bring them in and place them 50 feet closer?
Heres a great PDF that really shows how precast is the way they build modern stadiums now vs pour in place concrete http://www.highconcrete.com/resources/technical/upload/Hi_StadiumBro_9.pdf
Garfinkle's tweet explicitly says they're going to rip out the entire lower bowl. You're getting your wish here, Pal
Apparently they're going to be doing something with the seats: http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2015/01/05/first-look-at-sun-life-stadium-renovations/ I've already got a cup holder I broke a couple of years ago so
He says that in another tweet earlier then that one....said all concrete ripped out, moved 30-50 feet closer with new rake made of precast.
the stadium when finished will look completely new....modern...and will be reflective of a world class franchise. Now if they can precast a new football team as well.
"This all gets ripped out including the concrete... Seats will be closer to the field. " 12:00 PM - 5 Jan 2015 With using the picture that was shown I can interpret that statement in many ways..it could mean "this" basically means the seats gets ripped out, and the concrete that has the x on it gets knocked down to add some rows at the bottom.. I have heard nothing about these prefabs being moved in that VT is talking about, I mean if that's what they were gonna do I'm sure we would of known, I'm not gonna get my hopes up here, I don't think their gonna do what VT says.
I think you're in a state of denial right now my friend. You've wanted this so bad that you just can't possibly imagine it actually happening. But it is. All indications here are that the entire lower bowl is being ripped out and what you've wanted for as long as I can remember (2007-2008ish) is happening
your a dirty pirate hooker and I'm gonna slap you in the mouth.. I'm freakin out..nope it's not happening.
@MLBcathedrals entire 100 level sideline sections ripped out and replaced w new precast - different rake (angle). 3:06pm - 5 Jan 15
The way the picture was taken, it looks to me like they're removing everything below the Club level. Notice how the perspective in the picture appears to have purposely made the Club level almost unviewable, while everything below it is in full view. Had they taken the picture from a different perspective, the Club level would've been much more viewable, and the whole thing would have a different feel.
"New precast".... He said new precast, that's really really good man.. Wait, what are they gonna do with the uppers, isn't that gonna not symmetrical?
