Seriously? Tin Man Cutler belongs on a team with no heart. I think the Jets would be perfect. Harvin can accumulate all the stats he wants.

I'd rather take Tannehill's incompletions as opposed to cutlers completions to the safety.

If Captain Checkdown threw more passes past 6 yards he would be throwing it to the safeties too.

no thanks at Cutler though and I think the Bears are still tied onto that contract for a few more seasons.

I remember when I was hoping he would slid down far enough in the draft... He turned out to be the best quarterback out of Leinart and Young like he claimed he would at the combines.. I still think he can be a very good quarterback but he's missing something between the ears and He needs a coach to remind him of potential mistakes.. He cant fogure it out on his own what hes not suppose to do when throwing the ball..

Because we all know "Captain Checkdown" has NEEEEVEEER threw a ball past 6 yards... or ten yards... or 15 yards.... this season.

Why throw the deep ball? Our receivers can't catch.

I don't know what happened to Cutler, but I think he's probably the QB I've been the most wrong about coming out of college. Absolutely loved the guy and thought he'd be one of the best of his generation. Definately wanted us to get him.

The numbers I care about is 16, 13, 13 buddy. And 16 barely got by the joke that is the Jets.

And Sure he has but theres no denying he's second to last in the NFL at YPA, which makes him captain checkdown.

The question is, is Tannehill the one at fault for the low YPA, or is it a result of a variety of factors?

Or, it makes him a guy whose only consistent receiver (Landry) is not much if a YAC guy.

Also, can't ignore the other scores bro.

A bit better pass on the opening play last week would've helped the ole YAC.

I still haven't seen that play...but I see receivers EVERY WEEK on other teams that slow up sooner on balls so that they don't have to stop and wait at a point towards the end of the route. For example, I've seen Desean do it, Moncreif do it, Gronk, on and on and on. I've consistently seen top tier QBs throw deep balls no better than Tannehill, and watched their receivers make proper adjustments during their route, so they can catch and then run with the ball. Wallace is not able to that. Could Tannehill's deep ball be better? Sure, but that's not something only Tannehill struggles with. The problem is also that Wallace just runs fast, with no adjustments until the end of his route.

Watch the replay, Wallace is forced too slow down and ADJUST as soon as the ball is in the air. Now, the throw is certainly one we as Dolphins fans will live with. But when others blame Ryan's league worst YPC on guys like Wallace, I'm forced to copy/paste the facts.

No reason Cutler can't be an elite level QB. If Chicago gets rid of him and Miami wants him, i'd be all for it, but that would also mean the end of Tannehill and i'm not quite sure that should happen.

Yeah I know. It was a great way to start the game. Fifty yard pass.... ball on the money.
And no Wallace artificial adjustment. Great play.

The throw to Williams was a perfect pass. On the money. In stride. Just where it needed to be. I honestly think the deep ball issue is something with Tannehill and Wallace, not everyone. But hey, Tannehill sucks throwing deep. Let's go get Cutler. I hate our fans.

Cutler thinks too much of his arm, and not enough on mechanics. No thanks. and I was a huuuuuuge fan.

He could have been very good if he got more disciplined. But after all these years, he never did.

To be fair though, that Bears team is terrible this year and I liked Trestman but he's not ready for this gig. With Forte (who is getting old), Cutler, Alshon and Marshall, any decent coach can coax some offense out of them. Imagine if Arians had those weapons.

Cutler was getting killed by the passrush ... of the Saints. They were back there quick.

Agreed. I really liked him coming up. He carried those horrible Vanderbilt teams. W/o him, they would never have won a game during that time. In addition to a rocket arm, he was really athletic too. In Cutler's defense, there are very few QB's who've been beaten like a drum as he has. Every year he's getting killed. Plus the whole diabetes thing. It's a shame. Although I have no idea why they think Jimmy Clausen should start in place of him.

Like Cutler, I was diagnosed with latent type 1 diabetes - for me, in my early 30s. I don't know if Jay is insulin dependant like I am, but the high's and lows can absolutely effect your mood. I'm clearly not a professional athelete, but I am in decent shape for a diabetic, and its something that can control my life at times. I have to imagine that it plays some part in his attitude issues.

Wallace doesn't slow down as soon as the ball is in the air...he looks for the ball at the 35, after his double move, and doesn't slow down until the 50. So, he ran another 15 yards at full speed. LOL @ adjusting immediately as it was in the air. Not saying everything was perfect on the play, but to act like Wallace did something amazing on it, and adjusted well is just silly. Like I said, watch some other receivers, ala Moncreif, Desean, and you'll see them adjust better and earlier on throws like that all the time.

I have to think it affects his play too. I would think he doesnt feel 100% during all those games. I've seen people having a reaction and they look as if they are drunk, no way they could play QB.
