Boomer and Dan talk about the Fake Spike: 20th anny

Thanks, I listen to those guys driving to work every morning but he must have come on later, they were talking about it too and even had Aaron Glenn call in too. Carton is actually very funny.

 

I think the recent wound inflicted on us by Aaron Rodgers is hindering in my ability to be nostalgic about the fake spike.... at least this year.

I knew that the jets lost all their remaining games after the fake spike, but according to Boomer, they went 4-32 in all their games since the fake spike. That is incredible.

 

Carton's schtick stopped being funny in 2009.

 

Boomer looks and sounds more like Phillip Seymour Hoffman every year.

 

I have this game on VHS, but I'm afraid to watch it, because VHS is looking like a stone age technology to me these days. I recently watched the USC-Texas Rose Bowl game on VHS (the one that apparently never happened, because USC got in trouble or whatever) and it was like watching something from 80 years ago. The fake spike game is considerably older, so I'm guessing it will look that much worse.

 

I do remember that Tim Bowens had a monster game at DT in that game. I might have to overcome my fear just to check that out.
