Just checked and here is the remaining schedule for us and our competition, make of it what you will. One of the Bengals/Steelers/Browns/Ravens will obviously win the division and not affect us. Dolphins 6-5 At NYJ vs. BAL AT NE vs. MIN vs. NYJ Bengals 7-3-1 at Bucs vs. PITT at CLE vs. DEN at PITT Steelers 7-4 vs. NO at CIN at ATL vs. KC vs. CIN Browns 7-4 at BUF vs. IND vs. CIN at CAR at BAL Ravens 6-4 vs. SD at MIA vs. JAX at HOU vs. CLE Chiefs 7-4 vs. DEN at ARI vs. OAK at PITT vs. SD Chargers 7-4 at BAL vs. NE vs. DEN at SF at KC
I'm still confident we'll go 4-1 and maybe even beat the Patriots. This team is too talented to miss out on the postseason.
Chargers have a brutal schedule. I don't think it matters if we don't take care of our business. Everyone needs to be held accountable.
4-1 definitely gets us in. 3-2 might if the right teams knock each other off. We have to sweep the jets and beat the vikings.
I just played the ESPN playoff machine. There is a decent chance Miami goes 4-1 and misses the playoffs. 3-2 would need a lot of help. 5-0 would practically guarantee a ride.
Just did as well.. if you put the criteria as win% and then tiebreakers to the home team, we're in at 10-6 with the 6th seed, assuming our only loss is to the Pats... but in that scenario, the Chiefs finish at 9-7, which isn't far-fetched because they have a tough finish to the season: vs Broncos, @Cardinals, vs Raiders (who they already lost to), @Steelers, vs Chargers.
Really....if we are going to loose one, it has to not be Baltimore. Baltimore is a MUST WIN, as far as I can tell.
Thing is.... I can look at our schedule and see 3-2 or 4-1 as most likely cases. I can see us winning all 5 as well. But I think 3-2 would be the worst we would go. If we loose in NY though, all bets are off, and I think the teams slides.
