The devastating loss (3rd time this year), injury plagued team, Patriots have won the division 5 straight seasons. What the f**k is the point anymore? Those who don't understand history tend to repeat it. F**k
What we are trying to do is improve as a team so that history is not repeated, which is not accomplished by becoming frustrated. New England has built a system around a Hall of Fame quarterback, solid coaching and excellent personnel management. That isn't achieved in a year or two. Don't get upset. Appreciate that we're getting there, but we're not there yet. This year, we lost the close games against division leaders. Soon enough, we'll win those.
3 or 4 years ago this game would have been over after the first quarter. we have our qb and we have an offense that can put up yards and score against elite teams, now just have to learn to finish games.
How exactly are we getting there? Last year at this point in the season we were 5-6. This year we're 6-5, so you're telling me a one game difference is an improvement?
Yes. Not only do we have a better record against a tougher schedule; I can see the improvement in the team's play. When you first saw the schedule, you didn't say: "Yeah. Kansas City, Green Bay, Detroit and Denver; they're all wins," did you? Well, we played them close except for KC.
Luck has made the playoffs each year he's been in the NFL, along with Dalton, Wilson & Kaepernick. Even injury prone RGIII has made it to the playoffs. Luck took a team that was 1-15 & brought them to the playoffs. Wilson won a damn Super Bowl. Why hasn't Tannehill made it to the postseason? What's holding him & the team back?
Losing sucks but the reality is Denver was expected to win and that's what happened. We can all say how we could have won if this or that went the Phins way but they are still a work in progress. The injuries may cost us more than the loss itself.
Have you watched the games. this team is noticeably better. Its 3 1/3 weeks into November and we are still squarely in the playoff hunt.
