can you help me find 1 starter out of these three

RB Jeremy Hill- Bernard is back
RB Jerick McKinnon - against GB could catch some dump offs later, if they trail big
RB Tre Mason - clear cut starter now, but chatches nothing @ San Diego

    who do you start ?

    1st choice mason
    2nd choice McKinnon

Playing time trumps everything and mason is just as talented as hill if not more so. Mason also plays Sd which is a mid tier run d. GB d shut down McCoy a week ago and they did a number on forte.

I don't agree that Mason is as or more talented than Hill. He's averaging 3.65 YPC the past 3 weeks on 62 attempts, 0 TD, and a mere 6 receptions for 26 yards. His fantasy production is dependent on carries. Hill on the other hand is a prototypical back who impacts at all three phases- rushing, passing game, and scoring, and his ceiling is significantly higher than a pair of rookie RBs in struggling offenses that feature bad QB play and shoddy run blocking. Rams have averaged 243 offensive yards per game the past 4 games with just 4 trips inside the 10 yard line during that stretch, and Mason's production is dependent on carries.

    Hill has 129 touches for 715 yards, 5 TD, and 5.54 yards/touch.
    Mason has 100 touches for 422 yards, 1 TD, and 4.22 yards/touch.
    McKinnon has 122 touches for 610 yards, 0 TD, and 5.0 yards/touch.
Gio Bernard has 140 touches for 625 yards, 5 TD, and 4.46 yards/touch.

Hill averages 0.89 pts per touch [in 0.5 PPR format].
Mason averages 0.53 pts per touch.
McKinnon averages 0.62 pts per touch.

You say playing time trumps everything but what has Mason done in games where he touched the ball 18+ times? 14.5 pts [on 18 touches], 6.2 pts [20 touches], 10.1 pts [18 touches], and 12.9 pts [30 touches]. Big deal. Hill only needs half that many touches to score that much. He's clearly the best back in Cincy, but until the past 3 weeks he hadn't had enough playing time to earn Cincy's confidence, so going forward there's now zero reason for him to not get the bulk of the carries.

Hill should avg roughly 18 touches the rest of the way, which is 16.0 pts/game.
Mason would need 30.2 touches/game to avg 16.0, something he's yet to do.
McKinnon would need 26 touches/game to avg 16.0, something he hasn't come close to doing.
