You gotta' love the confidence, but it is true and we are certainly going to need him to be that player against the Rivers and Gates.

Yeah, he's been lights out since he came back. He's third on the team in solo tackles for the season! We're going to need him back there. He's an impact player when the coaches let him play his way. Do you guys think that he's lined up on Gates the most this week, or the linebackers?

Whatever happened to just let your play on the field speak for itself?

It's not how I would handle myself, but he's been great since he came back. If it motivates him, then its good for the team as long as he doesn't veer from pumping himself up to putting down the opposition.

In school, it took awhile every new school year for my teachers to understand that if I'm doodling on paper then I'm paying attention. If I'm looking up at them, then I'm not paying attention.

So, against conventional wisdom, they stopped trying to get me to pay attention the traditional way and let me be because it worked for me.

Moral of the story is, if what he's doing works for him but is different than what works for you.......then be thankful he's doing something that works.

This message brought to you by the makers of:

Don't do drugs ! (or whatever you want to argue it was about)

Ya' see in the REAL world, If this happened to most of us working folk. We would be out of a job and worried about feeding our family.
BUT, if given a second chance we would look at it as a new beginning with renewed vigor. You know, like a second chance.
Most would work exceptionally harder to try and keep their your job, right? LOL, just putting it out there....

So anyway, he's looked good since he came back. Hope he continues to do so.

He looks like 2012 Reshad Jones and it's fun to watch. He's not wrong. I hope he can keep it up.

You're right of course. In the real world, IF you're given a second chance, then you either wise up or you're done. Maybe even unemployable. The NFL is far from the real world though.

Maybe. While I like the confidence I'd trade him for Weddle, Chancellor, or Thomas in a heartbeat. His presence is an upgrade though over his replacements.

While I appreciate his contributions, I can't help wonder about anyone who would make that kind of comment for self-praise. That reminds me of the Brandon Marshall diva stuff we had to deal with a few years ago. Next thing you know, he's going to be demanding a max contract and nudie pictures of Tannehill's wife.

He is one of the best Safety in the league. No homer. He can read a offense and shed blockers, he can tackle like a truck, and he has speed.

Really and now Dion Sims has Toe problems..we need to put an extra lineman in to take Sims place so it does not effect our run game...can any of them catch? Dion Jordan would be an option possibly but does he know or could he learn the offense?

I didn't even read the replys to this yet so aplologies if I'm being repetitive, but my first thought was.. WHAT?

The best safety in the league was a dumb arse in the off season and wasn't even on the field for the first quarter of the season? I think not Brah.

Not that I'm not happy you are back and ballin. Just shut up. Be humble and earn something before you go claiming it. I for one would respect that.

Beg to differ Lucky. I grew up watching football in the 70's, and it's something that you didn't really hear from pro athletes back then. Pro football players were more about just letting their play do the talking.

But, I also realize that the world has changed in a HUGE way since then, and the media (and social media) contribute greatly to this type of stuff. Guys get baited, quoted out of context, etc.

That said, I'd still rather have a guy be more humble. If he's really that good, it will be recognized by his peers and the media. he doesn't need to say it for himself.

    JMHO.

There may have been a little less of it back then, but much of that is because there was much less media and no social media. There have always been trash talkers and self-promoters. Guys like Deacon Jones, Sam Huff, "Hollywood" Henderson, Joe Namath, etc. I think there were probably a lot of guys back then who if given a microphone or Twitter account on a regular basis would have been very much like many of today's players.

Have you often realized sports media doesn't seem to like to give Miami Dolphins players attention? -just look at Cam Wake for that.

Hell even greats like Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas were underrated by the sports media for a long time.

Besides, if Reshad can say he's great then he damn sure better continue to back it up.

JT and ZT continue to be underrated by the media. Sadly, it may cost Zach his rightful place in the HOF. Had he played the exact same career in a lot of other markets, he'd be treated so much better by the media.

I think if Jones said he could jump higher than anyone in the NFL he would probably be right too. That was one heck of a jump for the pick he did today!

There has probably always been the same amount of trash talking, but the lack of media never brought it into the mainstream. Now, the players have a platform for it to get out.

As long as they aren't being stupid about it (see: Houston, Lamar), then it's all good.

He has played a heckuva game today. Nice to see him rebound after last year's sub-par campaign.
