Must have pissed off someone in Seattle for that to happen. Not too long ago they traded a late first round pick for the guy. He has been a headcase in the past though.

Before anyone says why didn't we make a call, teams trade to teams that they know it won't backfire on them..

Well make that two teams that have gotten rid of him. Obviously some issues behind the scenes.

But what makes the Jets think they can handle him? And who is throwing him the ball? And are they going to keep paying him, he makes 12.9 Million next season right? We'll see if that helps when Geno Smith is throwing him the ball...

He makes a lot of money and doesn't play, a team like Seattle isn't going to do that for long. He performed in the Superbowl so I guess you can argue that trade was worth it but he really hasn't been in the lineup too much for them. I wouldn't trade for him.

Rare athlete in his prime shipped off by two teams. He must be tough to deal with off the field or something.

He never deserved that contract... nothing he did in Minnesota merit that contract.. and now the Jets are absorbing that... the Jets sure love to trade for bad contracts.

Rex and izdik are trying to save their jobs so if they suddenly show an explosive offense that is competitive and only held back by the quarterback, theyre banking thats enough to get another year in which they will draft a quarterback.

Great move by the Seahawks. They ditch that enormous salary, make room for Wilson's enormous salary in the near future, ditch a chemistry problem and actually get a pick....

Mid round pick for a guy they had just recently given up 3 picks for? Damn he must be a massive prick.

Wasn't the rumor going around that Tate slept with Wilson's now ex-wife? That could explain the punching.

By the way, Harvin isn't a FA until 2019 so i don't know what some of you guys are talking about. It's a good move by the Seahawks FO to get that contract off their books so they can use that money to retain guys who actually see the field.

Yeah, if the Jets get a capable passer next offseason (Hoyer or Manziel trade?), that offense is legit.

Harvin has no guaranteed money on his contract after this season. He'll be released with no cap ramifications.

I listen to Jets fans who still support Izdik. hard to believe. besides building a very good Dline, he's tanked pretty much all the other roster moves so far. They should give Izdik a 10 year contract extension:up:

He'll immediately go to the Patriots if that happens.. I hope the Jets keep him and hope they believe in Geno..

Besides, what would be the point for the Jets to trade a 4-5th round pick for Harvin and then cut him? They save no money. If they had traded a player that had guaranteed next year PLUS a 5th round pick, that saves them money. But they didn't trade any player(s), so releasing Harvin will only save them money from a potential 4-5th round player salary which is almost nothing.

So they're going to pay Harvin $12M next season? He probably gets $5M on the open market.

Oh well. Out of all that drama in Seattle he still got paid and got a Super Bowl ring. Probably won't see another one of those while he's with the Jets.

5 million is what you pay for an average receiver like Hartline. Harvin is a playmaker and an actual threat which is still good for 8-10 million per year.

harvin is never healthy. the guy is always banged up and is a ticking time bomb ready to go off. to be a playmaker you have to actually get on the field and play, he has played 15 games in the last 2 and a half seasons and has had nagging injuries this whole season. no way he makes 10 million on the open market. the guy is one more **** up from playing in the arena league.
