Just got a new vehicle. Last weekend I gave its first wash/wax. Nothing too complicated. I used just Meguiars Gold class soap and Meguiar's Gold Plus Carnuba liquid wax. I don't use any abrasives or polishes. Just a simple wash/wax. I plan on washing and putting a 2nd coat on this weekend, focusing on the hood and hard to reach areas like the roof. My vehicle is parked outside my apt exposed to elements. What do you use and how often do you wash/wax your vehicle?
water. soap. sponge. hands. ....would be my best guess. and to err on the safe side of timing, just wait for someone to scribble "wash me" on it.
I used to do a full wax. Now I just use spray wax with a cloth. Works just fine IMO Clay bar for water spots works great if you have tough ones. Sent from my Note 3
Ahhh, to have such free time, that one can wash their own car. I miss those days. I barely have time to get to the carwash. Meguiars is good stuff tho.
I have well water, so its a bad idea to wash my car at home. I'm lucky if I get to the car wash four or five times a year, lol.
