It's all over twitter.

From what I understand the commissioner announced that his PED suspension has been lifted immediately. Which is good, right?

Except a SECOND suspension of four games without pay has been announced for him for violation of the DRUG policy.

This means a total suspension of six games.

He released a statement saying, "I am currently undergoing treatment to address my situation. I am working hard to become a better man and to make better choices."

 

For what?

He got his suspended lifted...but..then he gets a second suspension tacked on..and will be suspended without pay for another 4 games.

The NFL is a joke sometimes...what the **** is going on.

If it's a case of him doing something in addition to what he did for the previous suspension, I get it. If it's simply a snafu with the new rules...WTF?

I remember Ireland being asked about what player excited him the most and who he may have wanted to get in the draft and he said I got him ... ( meaning Jordan ) trading up to 3 for him .... sigh ..........

 

Number 3 overall pick will be traded away for peanuts in the off season. Calling it now.

Evidently the release was really complicated and the press are having trouble parsing it out.

The first suspension was lifted and he was indeed reinstated.

But now some are saying the second suspension is for the PED policy, not the drug policy.

If that's the case it would suggest to me that he popped more molly except this time it was after the offseason cutoff in the new drug policy, at which point failed tests for stimulants flip back over from being drug policy issues to being PED policy issues again.

It would also explain why he's seeking treatment, to help him stop doing molly recreationally. If he were juicing to try and get swole, I doubt he'd seek drug rehab for that.

 

The gift that was Jeff Ireland just keeps on giving.

His previous suspension was not lifted.

 

Ireland's 2nd round pick that year isn't looking too hot either (shocking, I know). Jamar Taylor only has 40 snaps in 2 games.

 

Really don't get why we didn't draft OL last year when we needed it, after it was one if the deeper drafts for OL. And our DL was deep. Considering Jordan looks more cut out to be a 34 LB, so not a fit for our 43. Even if you put him at DE, he'd be behind Vernon and Wake. He doesn't have a fit on this team. Never did. Waste of a pick even without the suspension.
