Looking around the league...particularly at Buffalo after last week....there are teams that show off their tradition and club history much better than we do. We need to connect with our past and show other teams that we have history as rich as anyone's. What better way to do that than with retro uniforms. For that the orange uniform...they reek of Henne and Culpepper and not much else...i'm talking about real alternates. Vote please. 1970-72: 1973-79: 1987-96 (small changes over time but same basic layout):
If your gonna go retro.... How can you go anything other then the uniforms worn during the 1972 Perfect Season. Who cares how it looked....
But if they asked me to pick an alternate jersey.... Id go with the darker blue that is on the underbelly of the Dolphin on the helmet....
The ones they wore against Dallas on Thanksgiving are the ones I prefer. Fiedler and Chambers seemed to like them a lot.
The late 80s/early 90s aqua uniform is one of the most beautiful in all of sports history, and I miss it badly.
We just got new uni's last year. I think it will be a couple of years before they want to stop featuring the new uni's.
I prefer the undefeated '72 team....where some wore stripes, and some didn't...LOL.... = UNDEFEATED SEASON
I'm pretty sure the team would wear throwbacks if they knew the fans really wanted it. They could make money off of it as well.
I'd take those all day. Those orange uniforms are sick. Can't wait till we get orange alternates of the current uniforms.
I just never liked the orange alternates of the old shadow numbers jerseys. In my opinion they were too orange, too shiny and the numbers didn't look great on them. Orange versions of our current jersey might work though.
Also the Lettering and Numbers were different fonts for different jerseys what the hell was going on lol?
