Jerry Football article... http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/sto...ys-owner-jerry-jones-wants-known-football-man http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_...n-tells-dallas-owner-jerry-jones-wants-cowboy That article... makes you scratch your head and be happy that Ross is just a guy that spends money, he doesn't handle any football decisions.. Can't wait for Sunday's Outside the Lines, it will be like watching the revival of Al Davis. A quote from that article that has me speechless. This is what he says after giving Romo a ginormous contract... and he expects 8-8 with Romo there. That's some confidence he has on Romo as the GM/Owner of the Cowboys.
Just reiterating what I thought before season started.. How bout that stadium today..lol...it really sounded like a home game for the niners....yeah sure they have lots of bells and whistles but it actually might be as bad as home field advantage as our venue is..what a dum *** move.
The tragic thing for Cowboys fans is this is the best Jerry can do, the best he's EVER going to do. He's an egomaniac who cares more about the sizzle than the substance of his football team. Taking Martin was the smart pick, championed by Stephen Jones, opposed by Jerry, who is incapable of making rational, objective decisions. He saw dollar signs when Manziel fell to the Cowboys, and believes in his heart of hearts that big, splashy moves are how you build a football team. The only way the Cowboys will ever be able to improve is after Jerry is gone. His ego tells him that he has done a pretty good job as GM, since he ran Jimmy Johnson off, but the evidence clearly says otherwise. Stephen is much better equipped to make smart football decisions, but Cowboys fans will have to endure mediocrity as long as the delusional Jerry Jones remains at the helm. The only solution is to join a 12 step support group, stop watching or reading anything involving the Cowboys, and turn your attention to the Dolphins! Go Phins!!
