Game begins at 7:00 EST. Starters should play an entire half. Persinally I'm just looking for offensive competence against what should be a very weak defensive unit. I want to see our success in the passing game to translate into an easier time running the ball, which in turn should fuel the passing game more. What are you guys looking for?
I'm already pretty happy with the passing game so I'd like to see more of that. More than anything I'd love to see the interior of the line play better and get some kind of a run game (Moreno is playing tonight!), also I want to see McCain play so well I don't have watch Phillip Wheeler ever again.
Assuming they're gameplanning for this one, I'd like to see some exploitation of Dallas's defensive weaknesses by Lazor and the offense.
Interested to see how Finnegan and Will Davis hold up against starting WRs over more than a few plays. Early on without Jones I feel that strong cormer play will be vital to our success in the secondary.
I would kill to see a Will Davis pick as well he's gotten so close and had some great pbu's if you disregard he BS penalties called on them
I'm really pissed that the game isn't televised here in Houston there are Cowboy fans everywhere around here so I assumed all week it would be. Guess I'll have to wait until 11 o'clock tomorrow to actually watch it.
Their front-7 is awful. This is a team our OLine should look good against. We may even be able to run the ball!!! On the flip side their OLine is very very good, so this is a test for our front-7 in stopping the run. Like last week I want to see Wallace and Tannehill look dangerous against live bullets. They need to start connecting. And of course we gotta hope Dion starts to look like a 3rd overall pick.
I'll be watching the offensive line and the running game. I want to see Colledge, Satele, and Smith create some push; and I'll be on the look out to see when and how frequently Turner rotates with Colledge. I'm looking forward to see Moreno's debut, as well.
Turner has been struggling with turf toe, he's playing but that's why I'd assume he hasn't been moved to starting LG yet. I'm trying to find the Omar Kelly tweet. Edit: Omar Kelly @OmarKelly · Aug 22 RT @magmikkelsen is Billy Turner injured? > He is. He's nursing turf toe, which is one of the worst lingering injuries an athlete can have.
Dallas is weak against the run so I'd like to see success there. I'd like to see Shelly Smith securing the RG spot. If the starters play through the 1st series after halftime, We need at least 20 points from them against a weak Dallas offense. Any less, would mean we won't average 24 points per game during the season. From the D, I'd like to see no PI calls, success from Jordan and pressure on the QB, the first guy to make the hit in the backfield actually secure the tackle.
Not only Jordan, but Jamar Taylor and Will Davis need to start making impacts to determine if they will be the future of the team. The coaching staff and GM have their players, so the blame Ireland game won't hold water this year.
So my feelings for tonight: -I want to see the game on a decent illegal stream, with minimum pop-ups (yay adblock) -Tannehill continue to impress -Running game to get going -A couple of ****ing sacks please?!? From our first unit -A couple turn overs. One from Davis, one from Delmas. -Landry to continue to shine -Landry to ****ing block someone downfield for his teammate -Moreno getting over 30 yards receiving -Healthy game
No injuries because of the silly starters playing extended time.jmo. Nickel battle. McCain.... Interior oline. 3rd tight end 3rd string run back
Isn't it odd (or depressing) that our high investment players are the ones holding us back? We're waiting on these guys to take us to the next level while they should be the ones leading us to the postseason. Dion, Wallace, Ellerbe, Wheeler, Reshad Jones, even Jamar Taylor. So sad we spent so many resources on these guys who don't make consistently big impacts on games. They've often been the reason we lost! Yeesh.
I'd like to see those things too. I found that it's not worth the virus risk so I just ponied up the $20 to NFL for the past two seasons. I've been very happy with it. You may want to consider that next year Sick.
Wheeler and Ellerbe have set us back at least two wins since they've been here. I think also the rookie coaching staff has gotten out matched by the Bills, Ravens and Panthers.
Promo code "Directv" gets it for $15. Plus you can rewind watch our running plays get blown up in slow motion.
PFF has them ranked: Trusnik 5.6 Davis 5.6 McCain 5.3 Fede 4.5 Starks 3.4 Smith 2.9 Tripp 2.8 A. Johnson 2.0 Wilson 1.3 Shelby 1.1 Mitchell 0.8 Finnegan 0.6 Kovacs 0.5 Misi 0.5
I want to come out of the game healthy first and foremost. I also want, no, need to see us run the ball with success. Fins Up!!!
I've always thought that Davis would be a performer at DB since watching his combine and draft videos. The knock has been that he doesn't back up well and is slow to turn his hips. If Finnigan handles the 2nd spot well, I think Davis will be great at Nickle for us, but he'd be a liability early in the season as the #2 DB.
I expect the Dolphins offense to be able to move the ball and score against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. If they don't, that will be be a sign that the OL still needs a lot of work to become a solid unit. I am more interested in seeing how the first string defense plays against the Cowboys first string offense. Right now, other than the OL, my biggest concern is the play of the LB's and the secondary. If the defense can come out and limit the yards and points of the Cowboys offense, at least this would be a good indication that the defense can be effective against one of the better offenses in the NFL.
Tannehil looked sharp in both games so far. Want to see more. Id love it if Miller and moreno actually did something on the ground.
I want to see points. I have firm belief in our defense.....long as we keep them in check...not gonna really stress on the D at this point. I want to see the offensive line show cohesiveness....and Tannehill continue what has been a stellar pre season.
