Sick of Cowherd using Tannehill as an example of someone who will "Never be Andrew Luck". I really hope he has to eat his words come January - mainly because it means the Phins will be a playoff team. Even now, i don't think the gap between the two QB's is as large as some would have you believe.

If the gap doesn't close this year, he's probably right anyway......

Tannys decision making process and his delivery is still in question so he has a lot to prove yet.

No he's not. he will be soon, but he's not currently better than Manning, Brees or Rodgers.

Yeah i think the bothersome part is the implication that we have already seen Tanny's ceiling, which i'd like to believe is false.

For a single season, i'd take Rodgers or Manning over Luck. Long term, agreed Luck may be the best choice out there right now.

Here's hoping RT becomes a benchmark of a top tier qb, rather than an example of mediocrity this year.

EDIT: Cowherd's just put RT in the "Kinda Like, Not Sure Why" middle tier of recently drafted QBs. That's about right. Leaves room for improvement.

He must look at his team mates and wish he'd ended up in Miami. He'd be much better off here. Tannehill would be all outta luck in Indy.

The best QB in the league? Do you mean WILL BE the best QB in the league? I can buy that, but he's certainly not the best yet. Not even close.

For 2014, I think that Luck is the 4th best in the league, behind Peyton, Brees and Rodgers. In the near future, it will be Luck & Rodgers considered as the top 2 for a while I think. To me, Luck is this generation's P. Manning/Marino/Unitas. Head and shoulders above everyone else. That doesn't mean that Tannehill can't become a very good QB who goes to the Pro Bowl and leads the offense to a lot of points. I think he can.

I think a reasonable argument can be made for him as the 4th best QB, but IMO the dropoff after 3 RIGHT NOW is pretty steep. That could change this year, but today he's nowhere near the best in the league.

I was just about to note what a classy bunch this is that left that bum Brady out of the conversation! But yeah, honestly he should be in the discussion.

Never listen to Cowherd, the guy is just an unaccountable blowhard.

I listened to him daily for a couple of yrs and when his op did not pan out, he simply ignored it and moved on to the next blowhard, off the wall opinion.

The argument can be made that Rogers, Brady, Bree's, manning, you would take for one game, best in the game to me means who would you take all variables included to lead your franchise...it's luck for me..hilarious that he got criticism last year.

He's not even the best QB in his draft class. He was third in year 1 and second last year.

Best in the game usually means who is currently the best player. Currently, the best player in Rodgers, Manning, or Brees. If you're asking who I'd take if I were starting a franchise, that is a different argument.

    Ok..I'd probably go Rodgers..Brady..Bree's..manning..Luck..Wilson..Rotheleberger...Kap...

But going into this year, for the whole year, who would I take on a team with 52 of the same players, I'll go Luck.

I can't help it, I love neck beards, I know I'm hyperbolizing a bit, lol, but if you asked me who I want out of all of them, age being part if the discussion, he's the best, so why is that so crazy to state?.. He's the best one I want For my team..

He seriously is still not getting the credit for what he's doing..taking into account everything, including all the intangibles..the dude is the most bad *** Qb I've ever seen next to Danny.
