Oh I'm sure it will be better. At the end you can see how Saul (or in this case Jimmy) becoming more confident in himself and using his speaking skills to make a profit. We just had to see him get knocked down first before becoming Saul Goodman.
It was alright. Not hat I expected. I didn't realize they were taking it back all the way to the origins of the character. So much potential for this show, I really hope it lives up to future expectations.
I thought the episode last night was great. Saul's arc is kind of like Walter White, he's breaking bad in a different way. The negotiation over the skateboarders' punishment with Tuco was hilarious.
I love it! Loved the character in Breaking Bad... Curious how long they expect to go with it... as in after the Breaking Bad timeline? Tuco is great...
I wonder.. .many years from now.. if one has not watched either series... what it would be like to watch Better Call Saul first then Breaking Bad... mind ****.
Loved the first two episodes. Gonna be a fun show. There will never be another breaking bad. Different expectations for this show.
Malcom in the middle is the alternative ending where he placed into witness protection right after he was found on the king of queens.
Before, during, and after BB. The opening scene was after BB and he says that line about being a manager at a Cinnabun in BB. This **** is really good so far. Gotta have ya stickaaas!!
So far the show has been about as good as I had hoped for in terms of story and cinematography. Given the history of sequels/prequels, I was a bit uneasy but I think this one will work.
Happy with the first 3 episodes. They keep you wanting more which is nice. Love the intergration of tuco and mike so far
Third episode was a bit of a let down for me... to be honest. I think the first two were ramped up to draw people in. Which obviously they have done successfully. Don't get me wrong, still love the show and will continue to watch it.
I love how it ended, lol. Really wanting to see what happens now after the whole tent incident... and now it appears we start to see more of Mike's core role, other than just the 'sticker troll'
i was trying to explain to my FIL that Mike has a crazy backstory, without giving anything away, cause he hasnt watched BB, yet. But then i wondered would it would be like to watch this first and not know the backstory. So, i told him to just watch this and then go to BB. I didn't like the 3rd episode that much, but of course i didnt like several of the BB episodes. I do however love character exploration, it could go to the moon.
Really liking it. Odenkirk gets it done. He does that slick-but-actually-desperate thing so well. I like seeing that come out in the process of him trying to make a name/establish himself. And already there are some nice pieces/characterizations moving forward. Cool lighter vibe too, but still with the BB atmosphere.
Man! We have been loving this show! So great. Just incredible writing and the narrative is great as well.
Much like the first season of breaking bad, I feel like this show is going to explode once Saul breaks bad. Right now, it's a slow burn. Tonight's episode featuring Mike was awesome.
