I wanted to draft him in the 5th/6th round. He could have sat on the bench a year and gained experience in practice. Eventually he could end up a very very very good starting lineman.

I definitely would have taken him in the 7th.

When his head is on straight he is a first round talent IMO. The question has always been can he keep it on straight.

After the 4th round I'm almost always going for the boom/bust type picks and not guys who you hope can be average someday like a Hazel.

Why would you want to draft a kid from UM when there is so many awesome small school prospects!

Funny. I honestly would have still taken James and Turner ahead of him. Maybe even Tripp. However I was hoping so badly we would het McCullers and Seantrel in the mid or late rounds.

He was worth a 7th round flyer. I'm OK passing him because I think a change in scenery is the only thing that will save his career. In fact, Buffalo was the perfect destination. I don't think he could mentally, emotionally, and psychologically develop in Miami. Maybe not at all, but certainly not in the same place where his problems began.
