the NBA is a league I WANT to like, when basketball is played well it is all about making big shots in the clutch, and playing defense

What I'm seeing the "modern" NBA is a wimpy league, very self indulgent, contact is discourage, since they abolished the two hand checking rule, and instituted the "no charge" line under the basket, the league has gotten soft as a feather.

I watched the Nasty Boys 30 for 30, it was great, I see the league now and it is little better than flag football

I'm still a Heat and Hornets "fan" so to say, until it changes doubt I'll make to much time to consume their inferior product

My biggest issue is the inconsistency of the calls. I think the officials are too big of a factor in the games.

Exactly, it COULD be a great sport, things are to much like the WWE

I also think the way the league raids the NCAA is hurting the whole effort, basically young guy attend 1 semester of college, do not even bother with a second semester and declare for the draft.

I'm not opposed to ppl making $$$, do think some things are bigger than individuals

Hmm, seems like the Charlotte franchise got the Hornet name back?

I say that as I'm looking at an autographed Mugsey Bouges Hornets program from 1995 or so

Yeah just giving you ****, since that name has bounced around 2 different cities, and been replaced, and back from the dead again.

You have not lived unless you've seen Kelly Tripucka's hairy *** running up and down the court back in the day

This. Just this. The refs make themselves too big a part of the game. A good ref...you should barely know hes there. His calls should be consistent.

Yes. Only thing that bothers me more than the refs, are the people who get mad at me for calling them out.

I don't believe there is an agenda for any one team in a game....though it wouldn't shock me, but games often change drastically with their inconsistency.

Just look at this years finals. It would often go from a tough physical gam e to calling ticky tack fouls. They didn't decide the series but they made it frustrating to watch at times. Maybe because I love physical basketball.
