It would be interesting. When I worked for Anthony Munoz, he was offered by 3 different teams - 1 major NCAA team, and 2 NFL teams to be an OL Assistant Coach. He declined all 3 offers because all of his grand children are in Cincinnati and he's been rooted in Cincinnati since 1980. But he did hint that if all of the grand children were older, he'd consider moving because he wants to get back into football in some capacity. One of the NFL teams that offered would really surprise most people, I think (it wasn't Miami though). Just curious if JT would consider that once his kids are bit older.
How does he compare to Von Miller? Because you keep saying Adalius, but I was never that impressed with him, even with his 1-2 years of semi-brilliance. Adalius did more in coverage but let's be frank, if Dion can get to the QB 15 times a year and pressure them a bunch more times, I'd give up a little coverage snaps for that.
In the modern area, there is Dan Marino, and then there is JT. JT would actually be a good coach though, and I think is more savvy than Dan. I love Dan. I question his brilliance though Cocaine is a helluva drug!
Having JT mentor DJ just makes so much sense. They're both similar is the physical makeup/skill set. Would be really cool if some of it sticks, and he makes a BIG jump in playing time and production this season. Need Jordan and Jamar Taylor both to make an impact this season.
Jason was a lot smarter than most (non dolphin) fans give him credit for...he was outstanding at setting up an OL for a move at just the right time (or what he deemed was) and he did it pretty consistently after his 3rd 4th year.
I'd tend to think Jason Taylor's involvement has a lot to do with Kacy Rodgers. He was his coach for a couple years and Taylor speaks very highly of him. There also appears to have been a very big emphasis on Jordan learning a "long-arm" pass rush move. Kacy Rodgers has been quoted multiple times about his desire to see him pick it up, and Taylor is the ideal teacher. It was basically his signature pass rush move and I'm not sure anyone in league history was as effect at it as he was.
That would be true IF we did not have Wake/Vernon/Starks to get after the passer. Now with Te's who are really more slowish Wr who create mismatches dominating the league, a player who can cover them and get after the passer has a unique value to the D as AThomas did in Baltimore
This is not meant as a personal response to you, because I know you were just making a joke. However: Dion Jordan would have more support from the fanbase if he would have just worked to make a few of his teammates hate coming to work every day. It seems to me that: PED's = worthy of derision. Simulated shower rape = boys will be boys. It's interesting to me that most fans think that players in NFL locker rooms are all anti-social and juvenile while simultaneously believing that nobody is breaking any rules to maintain that crazy level of fitness. In the D-3 weightroom I frequented many years ago, I was in a distinct minority because I wasn't juicing; I could count the people who didn't juice on one hand. There was no money involved and nobody had a future in football or bodybuilding. On the other hand, the last Incognito (i.e. out of control *******) I knew was back in high school. That's not to say that nobody acted the fool occasionally, but the group took care of things like that and nothing was sustained. I'd be interested in hearing what others' experiences are, to see if I went to the one midwest D-3 school that was the anomaly.
