Yes, dream big. I can't wait to get our pass rush team Wake/Jordan on the field. It will happen this season with a healthy DJ!

Did Armando Salguero just report that he's "been told" that Dion Jordan wants to better in 2014 than 2013 and then spin it as news!?

    Slow news day.

Well that part... ya, lol. But there have even reports about Jordan's work ethic last year that were not positive... so hearing he showed up weeks before anyone else and has been working very hard this offseason and taking it seriously would be note worthy IMO, no?

Maybe last season humbled him a little bit after being able to coast on his athletic ability his whole life?

That's what I want to hear! Now let's get Mosley in here and make this a top 5 defense!
I keep flip-flopping between offense and defense in the first round, but I made up my mind, I want Mosley for these reasons:

    1) This defense is a good MLB away from being great. Let's make the most of Wake's, Grimes' and Starks' last few years of productivity. With Mosley in at MLB, we are solid at all positions on defense, with maybe the only question mark being CB opposite Grimes.

    2) With the addition of Albert, Smith, Moreno, and most importantly, Lazor, our offense is already much better than it was last year. OL can be had in the later rounds, and even WR for depth.

    3) If Tannehill is indeed the QB we've been waiting for, he'll make the offense better either way, and we'll eventually have a top offense... next season he'll have everything he needs to succeed, even without the addition of playmakers through the draft. If he is NOT the answer at QB, then the addition of playmakers won't make too much of a difference and we'll need a top-notch defense anyway (see: Stafford, Dalton).

I agree that were a middle linebacker with an identity away from being a good defense, I disagree that we should be content with our skill players..

Lets hope Misi falls in love with Mike, and Mike falls in love with him..

Really would like to draft Skov or Borland.

Actually the most interesting tidbit was the line "(By the way, the Dolphins are not making coaches and players available to legitimate media during this period)."

Does that mean that Mando was included in the illegitmate group ?? hehehe

Having him in the building, especially of his own choosing, can only be a good thing. Having Wake there as an excellent role model is another. The D Line group as a whole should have about the most solid group of veterans and leaders on the team, so hopefully that can all help push Jordan to make the most of himself. We can only hope the staff uses him the right way too.

The weight thing isn't a concern. Of course he's going to gain muscle now that his shoulder is fully healed and he can start working out properly again.

I just let folks talk about his lack of strength, his inability to holdup against the run, like it's some weakness in his genetics, or get this one, I've heard this one by some folks who actually get paid, " his slight frame ". Wait for it...lol

I'm still interested to see if they add someone that will lop Francis off the roster. I know they've shown interest in Will Sutton, Caraun Reid, and there's that rumor of interest in Ed Stinson from last week. All 3 of those guys, to me, make Francis expendable.

It's not exactly being "content" with our skill players per se, it's more about managing our resources in the best way possible. Sure, I'd love to be able to draft some great skill players, but with our limited draft picks there is no way we can do everything we want to do all in one year... so I say tweak up the defense and OL and if RT17's the real deal, everything will come into place, even with the skill players we already have on the team.

Last year we were a Branden Albert away from making the playoffs and we've kept all of our offensive weapons and are changing up our offense with Lazor. The one thing that concerns me is WR depth because of all the injuries, but that can be addressed in the third day of the draft, IMO.

I was a huge will sutton fan at 285, I'just don't understand how such an animal of a player let himself get that way..i guess some say his coaches wanted him heavier?, idk, it doesn't make any sense at the college level to do what he did.

Big fan of Caraun Reid if you can get him in the later rounds, if you go thru the combine thread you'll know how I feel, great body, dude blew that #### up..

You have to look at the potentially finished product w him. He was nowhere near it last year. If you've ever had a shoulder injury you know how hard that makes working out at all.

I'd be shocked if Wake doesn't have him completely yoked in the next year.

28th in offense tells you we can't stick with the same group, it needs two components weapon wise to be legit.

Absolutely... best foundation to work from, ever, incredible length, reach, and symmetry all packaged into a body that has the balance, coordination and quickness of a man 6 inches shorter..there has never been a man this size who can move the way Dion Jordan moves..never.

I think coaching and our OL were the biggest culprits in fielding that bad of an offense, not the lack of offensive weapons. I'd like to be able to upgrade them as well, but I don't see them as the major weakness you're making them out to be, especially when we still managed to keep ourselves in playoff contention despite having one of the worst offensive lines the history of the franchise.

it's about winning a championship, we need more weaponry, we can find two Olineman in this draft and two weapons, it's just a matter of knowing where the value and depth is in the draft..This can be done, we dont have to settle.

    DPlus likes your enthusiasm.

I know Jordan didn't play many snaps last year, but some of the few snaps he played showed a pretty big impact. The one that sticks out right now is the pressure on Matt Ryan that led to the game-clinching INT. It was good to see the D snuff out a comeback attempt like that (felt like it had been a few years), and it was good to see Jordan making a difference.

Now if he can play more and still make that impact on a consistent basis, the sky's the limit for him. It's good to see him in early and working.

If I'm being honest, I was totally disappointed in him relative to what I expected out of him,I saw nothing in terms of a repertoire in pass rushing, nothing in terms of a counter move to the inside, which was his only weakness coming out of college.

I know he was injured, and rehabbing all offseason, not able to work out to improve, also, not be able to attend any minicamps because of his college rules, and I would bet money he re injured that shoulder in the browns game..I just hope it's healed and won't shred at first sign.

The times where I saw what Dion Jordan's skillset could bring to the game of football is when he lined up a middle linebacker..

I am worried about the injury being a reoccurring one, but his potential will give me tremendous hope.

Really happy w/ a stud D line if they play up to potential. It just makes everything on defense easier.

Not sure it's the best use of a pick but I still fantasize about getting Donald; I think he will be a league stud for years.
