If there's fire behind the smoke, hopefully it's enough to burn everything down. I don't know what the most objectionable part of the article is to be honest because there's a lot.

The only thing I'd not oppose in that whole article is miss moving to ilb where I've felt he'd be best for a long time. Everything else about that article is a horrible idea.

Only OL I'd consider taking in rd #1 would be a LG

Wheeler to SOLB is basically saying "Dion Jordan, it is yours for the taking"

And tbh, would love a franchise type MLB, that USED to be a Dolphins trademark

We were told that we would be drafting Kenny Vaccaro last year too, but we didn't. Don't believe the lies. Hickney is going with a QB all day!

I will take bets our pick will not be Kouandijo .The only thing that upsets me is that its a weak attempt a smokescreen. Our FO can do better than that.....I hope.:sigh:

I have to think this is just something the Dolphins put out to hide their real intentions in the first round. Kouandijo is more likely a 2nd or 3rd round pick and if the Dolphins do have any real interest in him. They can probably get him with their pick in the 2nd round. He would be a severe reach for the Dolphins in the first round. The Dolphins need a player in the first round who can come in and be a starter from day one. I don't think Kouandijo is this type of player.

As far as Hartline's job being on the line. With a new GM and a head coach on the hot seat, I would think that every player on the roster has to prove that they deserve a spot on this team. If this team doesn't make the playoffs this year, I can easily see Hartline and many other starters who will be looking for new teams after the 2014 season is over.

To save myself from total insanity, I am going to operate under the assumption that it's a total smoke screen. They allowed Abrahamson's source to intentionally leak major BS. This is the month of the year with the most misinformation being passed about.

I don't buy that. He is definitely draftable. Watch the dude run blocking. When healthy he takes a back seat to neither Warmack or Fluker in that regard. This knee thing is enough, regardless of what Dr Andrews says, that it should knock him down to the 2nd or 3rd.

I actually like Kouandjio on the right side...only reason I would hesitate to take him at 19 is because I'm thinking he could fall to our 2nd pick...but there's no guarantee he falls to #50, he could go early 2nd or some team picking in the late 1st might even disregard the medical concerns and take him.

I know a lot of people (myself included) don't like reaching for an offensive lineman in the 1st and would rather grab a linebacker or an offensive weapon first and then grab a tackle in the 2nd but there's a chance all these names that you think will be still on the board at pick 50 like Kouandjio, Moses, even guys like Billy Turner, Mewhort, and Richardson, they could all be gone, prospects that can play tackle are always highly coveted and get pushed up in the draft. then what, we take some other position and wait until the 3rd round to address the line? is that the smart route to take? I don't think so.

as for Hickey having Kouandjio rated over Lewan, he might think the former is a better fit at RT then the latter...that's not that far fetched.

regarding Hartline, yes this could very well end up being his last year with the team, whether Hickey's still the GM next year or someone else.

now what I don't like is the thinking that we won't draft a linebacker at all, that's just silly, matter of fact we could and very well should take one with our first pick. Shazier or Mosley would be great picks.

honestly the more I look at the circumstances I think a trade down is very possible...I'd move to the back end of the 1st, take a Shazier, then move up in the 2nd to secure that right tackle.

Hartline isn't some other world talent, hell he isn't even as good as Wes Welker and Brady did just fine without without him. We need red zone threats and Hartline isn't that and we don't have one on this team. If we can get a true #1 then that makes Wallace much better.

I just don't see why so many people are so eager to get rid of Hartline. He's very good at being what he is, which is a dependable guy who moves the chains and makes border catches. Some people have a strange obsession with speed.

Hartlines sideline ability is kind of otherworldly. He's damn near incredible there. We call the out route to the sideline A LOT and it's because tannehills arm + Hartlines sideline talent = first down. It's a focal point of our offense.

Everyone likes him for his heart and smarts, but we've seen the best we're going to get from him. He's a complimentary player good for first downs, but he's not a great player, nor a RZ or scoring threat. Hoping we continue to upgrade the receiving corp - WRs and TEs.

Do OTA's feature pads? With Hartline and Gibson injured, there's a chance that the extra time for Matthews could pretty much lock up any receiver talk. Hickey has to remember the show he put on in Tampa last season.

You just hush your mouth. Hartline is the BALLS of our offence. Besides which if he did nothing after the game winner in OT for the only win of the year I would give him a new contract every yr til he needs a walker. The BALLS I'm telling ya.

Little Wesley Wanker isn't good enough to come over to Hartlines house and eat the dog poop off his grass for him. Tuck wanker

I don't think people have a problem with Hartline. They have a problem with Hartline being the 2nd WR on this team. Hartline would be a good option as the # 3 WR but # 2 HE NOT!

Moving Koa Misi to the Mike spot is just a continuation of bad personnel moves at LB from last year; it's shooting themselves in the foot even more. He's best on the edge, and has always played on the edge dating back to his Utah days. He was, by a good margin, Miami's best LB last year. Why move him away from what he does well?
