Brian Hartline 2013 highlights

Nice video. I swear I've never seen an NFL player move so awkwardly with the ball in their hands before.

Lets look at the positives.He is probably the best sideline receiver the Dolphins have ever had.The best ever IMO was Raymond Berry who played for Shula during his Colt years.The amazing stat is that Berry was blind in one eye.

I don't think there are many players in Dolphins history that have been **** on relative to their contributions as Hartline has.

 

Johnny U was my favorite QB when I was a kid. Still have his 1965 bubblegum card, sealed in one of those fancy card holders. I thought it was really cool when he won that recent bracketology thing for best all time QB. It was funny listening to Sam Huff's comments. Huff and Jerry Kramer were both naturals in front of the camera talking about the old days. My 2 favorites to listen to anyway.

Berry wasn't totally blind in one eye. Just extremely nearsighted. He did have one short leg though and wore special shoes to compensate.
There was a TE for the Chiefs back in the day though who was completely blind in one eye, Fred Arbanas.

This isn't really a 'highlight video', unless you think 6 yard catches on first-and-ten are way more impressive than I do. But whatever, it still shows a lot.

Tannehill clearly trusts him to make plays in tight spaces, which is not something he's comfortable about with Wallace. You can see a better connection with BH just in terms of knowing where he'll be and knowing that he'll come down with the ball.

But man I still feel for Tannehill. Hartline is open on lots of these, but he ain't open by much...at all. These balls have to be dead-on, and then after he tosses a dime BH gets dragged down immediately. Tannehill had to work so hard for every yard this offense produced last year. That has to change.

 

yeah because playing 5 games for us before retirement, getting 8 receptions counts for very much.

 

Good video, thanks for posting. As I was watching this I like everyone was reminded that Bline goes down easily. He's constantly diving forward at or past defenders. The plays on their own look good, like he's being aggressive running the ball. Watching them altogether it made start to wonder if his "run after the catch" style, for lack of a better word, is a way for him to avoid contact. I'm not saying he's a total wuss like he's from Michigan or something, but by diving he's assured of not taking a big hit. I never thought that about him before, but altogether his style seems to be to make the catch and while moving forward, get to the ground.

 

I'm surprised he didn't get concussed on that one catch against Indianapolis.
