“I salute him for his commitment to try to make sure he brings a first-class stadium to that area,” said Goodell in his closing press conference. “He is committed to it and I think he’ll achieve that and I think it’ll be great for the area. It’ll be great for the Dolphins, it’ll be great for the NFL and lots of great events will come there as a result of it.” Dolphins owner Steve Ross’ recent pledge to fund the renovation of Sun Life Stadium with his own money as part of a private-public partnership with Miami-Dade County is being well received by his fellow owners. Even though this issue was not part of the official agenda as there was no stadium committee meeting, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is aware of the details, is supportive of the idea and actually spoke with Ross about it last week." I emplore him to look into an all together new stadium teamed up with the university of Miami to build something really special, like an intimate 12 man design and reap the cultural, monetary and competitive special, but in this case I will settle and be happy with the change..

Thanks man. I found your original thread. http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?72764-WOW-Hurricane-stadium-a-cultural-phenom I love that venue.
Goodell is an arsehat. This BS with our stadium is still a joke. It's not the best and it has it's issues but it's far from the worst. Again all of this is because he had a hissy fit after it rained once during a Super Bowl in Miami out of 10 times it's been held here. If this investment is made there better be Super Bowls lined up to come to S. FL. and many other cities should be removed from Super Bowl bid lists for the future. Tampa should be one of them left off the list for Super Bowls. If Dolphins Stadium isn't good enough then Raymond James sure isn't either.
Dont cry about the weather and then turn around and award a SB to the meadowlands. Goodell has no credability with me.
