Well... it's going to be annoying to play against the Jets' if he gets the start... He's very average but he can still frustrate you when he gets out of the pocket and convert a first down with his legs on 3rd and long.. we have a habit of letting that happen...
Paired with his old OC. He could become dangerous. Played well under MM. Some fun games coming our way...
I'm scared he's going to win a lot of games against Miami. We can beat mobile QB's like luck and Wilson. We haven't done well with outright runners though. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
Vick isnt some great QB or anything...but the upgrade he presents to Geno Smith is dramatic. I personally think they make a push for Desean Jackson as well...but either way Vick gives them a much better team heading into the year. Can he stay healthy though is the question...
Not sure how to feel about this. They went 8-8 with some of the worst quarterbacking you can imagine. If Vick stays healthy he could make them tough to beat. But he's injury prone, turnover prone and getting up there in age.
he will not stay healthy, he never has and he is only getting older. as for skill he is dangerous with his legs and nothing else.
I really don't think he was brought to NY to start. Smith has a long way to go, and the thought is that Vick can push him. Smith played better the last quarter of the season, especially the Miami game.
I said he played better. But he did more that have one good scramble. I'm not here to pick at old wounds.
The Jets just signed a 33 year old injury plagued QB, who is erratic at best even when healthy, at 5 mil/year to potentially start over the guy they JUST drafted and have obviously given up on after just one year, all while cutting the former would-be face of the franchise and practically guaranteeing themselves at least one more year of uncertainty at the QB position. The Jets are a M-E-S-S. MESS MESS MESS. Great news.
They signed him at 5 million per year? He's the starter then. lol I mean I guess Seattle gave Flynn that kind of money but Geno Smith was borderline average... Wilson at least showed something,....
Never know with Vick, he may not stay healthy, the NFL is a game by game league, he may injured two games after he wills the Jest to victory..does not matter as they "won" that game.
What's really sad is I truly think that you actually believe that. Giving a QB a one year deal means they've given up on Smith? Seriously? And you think they shouldn't have cut Sanchez? Look. I'm pretty reasonable, but they are making the moves they feel they need to make to build a winning football team. They've already improved their roster from last year and that team was good enough to beat your team, in your stadium, with everything on the line for Miami. It wasn't that long ago. Should I post a link to the final standings?
If salary dictates who starts at QB, then I guess it's Moore for you guys, huh? Can't make this stuff up.
Love the Jets. They aren't capable of making good personnel decisions! Bring on Vick. He never lived up to his "potential" in his prime years. He's gone downhill since. DB's in the AFC East should be licking their chops. INT buffet's a comin.
Vick is improving the roster? I mean.... I guess by DEFAULT? I don't even like Vick and I don't see how he couldn't beat Smith. Can they both tie for second and convince tebow to come back?
Dion Jordan will spy Vick, it's quite simple the gameplan, you either keep him in the pocket or your in for a dog fight, he can't really beat you from the pocket, he's just not accurate enough, has a hitch in his release that is not condusive to be an accurate thrower of the football..he's a damn fine competitor, and if he stays healthy he will improve that team.
Vick is horrible. There is nothing else to say about him. As to those who think he's an upgrade. Riiiight...He's an upgrade like Stalin was to Lenin. The Jets may have beaten the Dolphins last season, but they were not the better team. Besides, Vick is a sociopath. The only teams in the NFL that would ever give him a second shot are bottom feeders. ie Eagles and Jets. Their fans are the worst and will not mind employing someone of his caliber.
I literally have one Jets fan buddy of mine who literally said he is rooting for Miami this year....hahahah
In all seriousness, if Miami had signed him, I wouldn't root for Miami while he was on the team. Same if we signed Big Rape.
I never want a player to get hurt playing a game however if a pack of wolves was released on the field and ripped his throat out i guess it would just be justice ~
I wish he had a painful career ending injury...and his rehabilitation was getting *** raped by a donkey 3-4 times a week. Same with Big Rape.
The point is that we, as Dolphins fans, understand the importance of actually finding a franchise QB. We also understand the allure of signing big name has-been QBs with the hope that they will revive their careers and rewrite history. But guess what? That doesn't happen. It only makes you sink further into the abyss of mediocrity. This has nothing to do with the Dolphins, as we have our own problems. But every poster here has been through the EXACT same situation countless times over the last 15 years. We know what false hope looks like, and if you think they signed Vick to be a backup you are just naive.
