Who would you take? For me throw out the QB's and not sure about Clowney's heart/work ethic, so maybe I would take Mack.
Clowney. He's the best player in this draft. The criticism of him is way overblown, he's going to be a star in the NFL.
I don't agree he's the best player, but he may well have the most potential. We'll just see about how he pans out.
Mack or Matthews, then probably Watkins. I wouldn't take Clowney in the top 10. Maybe 15ish. I wouldn't draft any of the quarterbacks in the top 15, and Manziel would be completely off my board. Hate the kid, both on and off the field. Begging to be a bust.
Jadaveon Clowney, Sammy Watkins or Aaron Donald. Kind of a rigged question tho cuz I mean everyone's just going to steer toward consensus high graded guys. 02 QB: Teddy Bridgewater, Blake Bortles 05 RB: Lache Seastrunk, Tre Mason, Jeremy Hill, Carlos Hyde, Andre Williams 04 TE: Eric Ebron, Jace Amaro, Troy Niklas, A.C. I took the question to mean with the current roster, if we, the Dolphins, had the 1st overall pick in this draft, which player would you take? If it were up to me, I'd pick Matthews or Watkins. Probably need to flip a coin.
I dont have a choice but I took it as him asking who you think the best overall player is going to be coming out of this draft class.
Not really a rigged question. I just took it as fun, money-on-the-table, who's the one player you would want.
Hard to not want Robison or Mack...although I would lean Mack since we haven't had a top 4-3OLB in a LONG time.
Yeah but it's basically a poll question asking which of these five players or so that the Dolphins will never have a shot at do you like best. I just find it to be a dead-end topic of discussion unless you expand it.
I don't think it matters. I think he is a gifted football player and he can be coached up. I think he's exceptional.
jake matthews or sammy watkins. they are the 2 best players in this draft in my opinion. if i had to choose between the 2, i would have to say watkins. he is an absolute beast.
Round 1 Pick 28 (CAR): Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State (B+) Round 1 Pick 31 (DEN): Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh (A) Round 2 Pick 18: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A) Round 4 Pick 16: Charles Sims, RB, West Virginia (A) Round 5 Pick 15: Michael Schofield, OT, Michigan (B+) Round 6 Pick 14: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers (A)
As things stand now I'd probably take Clowney, slide Jordan to OLB and get creative and aggressive on defense. If we didn't sign Albert for LT I'd probably go with Matthews or Greg Robinson. Matthews is just an overall solid as a rock OT, and Robinson might be the most physically dominating college OT I've ever seen, unbelievable in the running game. He has great feet and athletic ability, I think that with more reps he'll be fantastic in pass pro as well.
Best players i've seen so far on footage are Weston Richburg, Jimmie Ward, and Devonta Freeman. But if I had to take one player, it would prbly be Bortles.
Clowney Robinson Matthews I'd like to add Mack in there because of what I've heard, but that would be an empty judgement since I haven't seen nearly enough of him playing.
Aaron Donald, Jake Matthews or Sammy Watkins. I have a feeling (no reason, just a feeling) Clowney is going to bust.
I don't think Clowney will bust, but he has so much hype it's nearly impossible for him to live up to it. He might be more Jevon Kearse than Lawrence Taylor. I'd want Matthews or Evans from this draft personally.
