http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1970832-2014-nfl-mock-draft-post-combine-update Dolphins picks: 1.19 DT Luis Nix 2.18 OT Jack Mewhort 3.17 CB Lucheiz Purifoy 4.16 WR Robert Herron 5.15 RB Terrance West 6.14 OLB Ronald Powell Pretty bland IMO.
I could see the first two picks being players of interest for Miami. After that, yeesh. And even then, coming out of the first two rounds with Nix and Mewhort is underwhelming at best. And I like Nix.
Herron's got some moves though. Check out his Senior Bowl 1 on 1's.
It's promising but it's not enough to go on. I need to see it during games. And I'd like to see 2013 tape and not 2012 tape. Now that I say that, I just realized there's Brett Smith tape out there against Nebraska, Air Force and Nevada. I'll be back in 20 min, lol.
I'm getting a pretty good look at him right now and I don't know if that's a fair statement. To either guy, really. I think they're different types. You'll laugh but Herron actually reminds me of...Victor Cruz.
Here...compare them: Robert Herron (5:15...he's the right-most slot WR) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jhLkfnnx1M&feature=player_detailpage#t=315 Victor Cruz (0:40...slot) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D4BQHBj534&feature=player_detailpage#t=40
I'll certainly defer to your opinion of him, as I only watched like 10 minutes. I took away: good route-runner (double-moves especially), good on the sideline, but not too overly physical on the RAC. In the long TD run and catch vs. Texas, the Texas secondary basically took themselves out.
Yuck! the only name on that list I like is Purifoy and that's only after watching him play a handful of times.
