So, I got a 2DS today. It came with Pokemon Y pre-installed. With that said, what other games should I get for it?

    Really considering getting a 3DS..

Would it be worth it at this point in its life cycle? Any deals anytime soon? More price drops? New and improved versions on the horizon? Worth getting if I don't plan on getting a Wii U? I'm about at 80% on whether or not I'm going to follow through.

Yes, it's worth getting a 3DS. "This point in its life cycle" implies what, that you think there's going to be a new device? Not likely.

It was more of a reference to the different versions coming out so I suppose I asked the same question twice. Thanks.

3DS XL has the same resolution as the normal 3DS, so the picture quality winds up looking worse, IMO.

Does anyone have a refurbished one? Are there any downsides to getting a version like that? They're about 50$ cheaper that way.

I don't think you can buy refurbs, only new or used private.

I know it has the same resolution, but many times I wish I didn't have to focus on the tiny screen.

Gonna get it and Bravely Default tomorrow, and it will be a beautiful day. My favorite games of all time were SNES RPGs and PS1 RPGs and it looks like the DS has them in spades. I borrowed my friends' for a day to play Fire Emblem for a couple hours and ended up playing all day.
