Love how they say "180 days" so it seems longer.

Why do we still treat DUI and especially DUI manslaughter so cavalierly n this country?

If you're driving drunk and you kill someone, it should be a mandatory 20 year minimum sentence.

To be honest I've gotten into cars in dumb situations and if someine I know killed me, I wouldn't want them prosecuted. Nor would I want a stranger prosecuted.

Not that I condone drunk driving.

If he truly had 17 drinks and then got behind the wheel, he deserves more than he got. Thats beyond stupid and reckless. Its almost guaranteed to end in disaster.

I know a guy who got 25 for firing a gun. Granted, mandatory sentence in FL.

    Had a public defender.

I think they took into account what the victims family wanted and I don't like mandatory sentencing for anything its terrible for the judicial system.
