Anyone interested in the show, it starts tonight, and I love the cast. I actually do like McConaughey but Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors. I am a huge fan of Cheers too! I am excited for this! hope it doesn't disappoint
It certainly didn't disappoint! I loved it! I'm curious as to if this is predetermined to be 3, 2, or 1 season? It seems like there is a finite story here.
I was wondering that too. I'd assume max would be 7 seasons since they said they were partners for 7 years after that something happen and that results in them losing touch, but I don't see it as a 7 year show, rather a 3-4 year max Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What I read is that, like AHS, each season will reboot. I don't know to what extent, if the actors or the characters will remain with the series. I'm looking forward to watching it.
I never got into AHS, heard good things tho. That would he pretty cool though. It's basically a new series every year. Prevents it from getting stale, however I could see missing the characters.
Liked the premier a lot. Wondering where it's headed? What happened to Cohle's wife and daughter? Very dark and mysterious. It pretty much blew "The Following" out of the water. Even though I'll probably watch that when it comes back later this month.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...naughey-woody-harrelson-true-detective-318152 Cast will be replaced after this season. An anthology is what they call that I guess (never heard of something like this before, never watched AHS). Interesting... not sure what to make of it. I guess we'll see after this season is over how that unfolds.
Ooooooohhhhh yeeeeaaaaahhhh. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1275259/?ref_=tt_ov_st I went from hating McConaughey's character and loving Harrelson's character in the first episode to the complete opposite in the second. Still think McConaughey goes a little off the rails sometimes with the pseudo-badassery.
I'm really digging this. I could watch an entire series of McConaughey being interviewed Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
This show has the potential to be an all time favorite. Simply incredible. Trippy, brilliant acting, brilliant cinematography.. I love it. I am on the edge of my seat literally every second of it.
I'm going to have to rewatch it again but was that scene where McConaughey was escorting the biker guy one continuous shot? Pretty amazing if so.
The only thing that is a bit of a tease is, 2 episodes left on super exciting notes, and the following week it goes back to jumping around the timeline and not paying off where the previous episode left off. But then again, that builds anticipation. The last 2 episodes are going to be insane.
I stopped watching after the second episode because it was a little too slow for me. If I watch episode 3 will I feel differently?
From the dusty May sun Her looming shadow grows Hidden in the branches of the poison creosote She twines her spines up slowly Towards the boiling sun And when i touched her skin My fingers ran with blood In the hushing dusk under a swollen silver moon I came walking with the wind to watch the cactus bloom And strange hands halted me, the looming shadows danced I fell down to the thorny brush and felt the trembling hands When the last light warms the rocks And the rattlesnakes unfold Mountain cats will come to drag away your bones And rise with me forever Across the silent sand And the stars will be your eyes And the wind will be my hands
When you go out with a girl...you drop your pants within the first 5 minutes and stuff your junk in her face?
The show is an hour long. I sat through two if them. That means my pants come off after 1.5 hours. Then I finish at 1.52 hours. By hour 2 I'm home, on the computer and arguing about politics, race & Jeff Ireland. By hour 3 I'm in bed. By hour 3.25 I start crying. By hour 4 I furiously masturbate. By hour 4.1 I start crying again. By hour 5 I drift off to sleep. Now.....will I feel like things pick up after episode 3 or not?
This show makes me want to talk to people all day in cryptic tones and dark themes. *RING*** Me: "hello" Client: "Hey, Alfredo, do you think you are gonna have that ready for us by friday?" Me: "Friday is a concept from the calendar with no bearing on real time and space, of which all of us have precious little of. When you realize this..ask yourself, does it matter how dark your heart can get?"
I'm just saying, if you want to promote the show maybe telling people they'll want to talk like the23rd off his meds is not THE selling point.
Episode 2 was the weakest. Ep 3 was awesome. Last night was awesome. If you allow your voided consciousness to believe in the concept of non-existent awesomeness.
Yes. One continuous six minute shot. Show is also shot in film, which just makes it more amazing. What a great episode last night. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I've watched all 4 episodes and all I can think of, is that this show is ripe for parody. That's the thing that is driving me a little crazy with show.....EVERYTHING is like that. The guy who thinks small things turned into big conversations is crazy is the same guy that turns every small thing into an opportunity to proselytize....oh and he hates proselytizing. Also, maybe having lived out in the podunk sticks I'm not vibing the "foreign otherworldiness" many of you city folk are experiencing. The only way to describe it is that this show is to the deep south what the Dexter opening credits are to getting ready in the morning....a little too hyper intense to just shy of stepping into caricature. The color palate is dead nuts for Louisiana though. That is one dank and dreary ****hole of a state. There's a reason they put their football team in a dome even though its in the south.
You guys ever wonder if the producers made the dialogue purposely cryptic to depict the difference between the two men? Amazing show, thats all ill say.
Best new show of the 2013-14 lineup. Sucks this season is only 8 episodes and there's going to be a new cast. As much credit as McConaughey is getting (deservedly so), Woody Harrelson is killing it too.
Nah...the guy is just tortured. I know plenty of people that when I see them, they confide and talk about their problems of the day. That is just Cohle's way to cope. He is ****ed up, in other words.
I think its the opposite of cryptic. To me, all of McConaughey's rants are like a painter that clearly spells out what his painting is about. The show is clearly about how life is **** and men are flawed and in case you can't get that, here's the emo redneck Eeyore to flat out tell you life is **** and men are flawed.
I think I get it now. For you, this is like looking in the mirror, but it angers you knowing that at least McConaughey is better looking
