    Why?

    1) Because **** the Jets
    2) Because we finally have the QB you need in this league. Finally.
    3) Because no team has endured more drama and bull**** this season and hung together.
    4) New Logo = New Attitude
    5) Vegas says so
    6) Because it feels far far better to have faith than to expect disappointment
    7) We own Rex Ryan
    8) Because we're at home.
    9) Cinci is rolling and stomps Balt
    10) Because its gonna feel so ****ing good to finally shake all the doubters off our backs
    11) Because new merchandise needs to be bought by Barry in celebration
    12) Actual decent weather to play in
    13) Wake of Destruction
    14) It's Our Time.... And It's About Time!!!!

BTW, it's Cincy or Cinti, not Cinci. But if you're in any of those three next week, I'll be there. :shifty:

Know you are from there but I grew up a Reds fan and before technology I subscribed to things such as The Reds Alert , where they often had it written as Cinci ... is it like some people , maybe most , from S.F. not liking it called Frisco?

I prefer Cinci as in Cinci(nnati),rather than Cincy as in Nancy.

Probably not to that extent, but similar, yes. Either way, if it works out to where Miami is playing here in the playoffs, I'll be at the game next weekend.

I hope you're right. I'd like to see Miami basically treat the Jets like Section126 and the quant machines seem to think we will. That would be a real nice positive note to head into the playoffs on and that would be a nice boon for a fan base that aren't used to that kind of optimism.

I've seen rocks with more intelligence than Dukes.

I'm expecting disappointment, I guess this team has programmed me that way. Anything else would be a bonus. :D

Who cares how many so called experts on ESPN predict the Dolphins will win. I am sure more experts than that predicted the Dolphins would beat the Bills last week and we know how that turned out.

The Dolphins have to prove today that they can win a game when they absolutely have to win. The Jets would like nothing better than to knock the Dolphins out of the playoffs and they have nothing to lose and everything to gain by playing as if this is their playoff game. I expect the Dolphins to win today, but until they show that they can win a game when the playoffs are totally on the line, I go into this game hoping for the best but worried about the worst.

With the Dolphin teams over the past decade, it never seems they make it easy on their fans in any game. I don't expect the game today to be any different.

I anticipate a nail biter. It just seems this team plays tough, but is unable to put anyone, except the jets last game, away. If we don't come out, in our home stadium, and play with a sense of urgency, determination, and fire, it is an epic fail from the coaches and players alike. I am the eternal optimist and look for a big win and what help we need to make the playoffs. If we win and don't make the playoffs its our own fault for not taking care of business against Buffalo twice. Those two losses and the loss to the Bucs gives me cause to pause in thinking we are on the right track to be a contender in the near future. Of course the wins over Pitts, NE, Indy, Cinci, all give me hope that we are on the right track. SOOOOOO CONFUSING being a Dolphin fan and has been for quite some time.

Exactly, and how could it not? Even the most confident of Dolphins fans today have that "what if" scenario dancing around in there heads. Recent history with this team provides more then enough doubt that we`ll get it done.

And I will say this, IF we do lose today at home and let the Jets knock us out of the playoffs then Philbin and Ireland must get canned immediately! No excuses, none, nada, zilch. Ross should make a stand and do it. The Jets wouldn't stand a chance today in Denver , or New England , or Seattle, etc... if those teams had the same implications on the line as we do. Therefor they MUST win today to prove they`re not the " same old Dolphins". If they don't then they`re nothing more then mediocre also rans.

Bottom line, I`m confident we get it done, but..............

If Baltimore wins and we win.... will San Diego be motivated to play against the Chiefs? It will be an emotional let down. Let's just hope Cincinnati takes care of business...

We are playing the jets after all and personally I don't care that are playing for Rex, or to knock the Dolphins out of the payoffs just because they hate us, we are the better team and would be a monumental let down losing against a sorry franchise like the jets at home with the post season on the line.
Dolphins will win big time, GO PHINS!!

The NFL should have made all of Week 17 games into 4:30 games with the stadium scoreboard off, that way all teams give it their all. San Diego plays at 4:30, Miami, Baltimore and Pittsburgh at 1 PM. San Diego will definitely be tuning in to see if they're playing a meaningful game at 4:30 or not.
