So... Im Canadian... and its not my Thanksgiving today... but ever since Miami played Detroit last in Detoit...when Harrington beat the Lions... my friends and I have had a US Thanksgiving tradition of either being at the game in Detroit, or watching it somewhere while making crazy amounts of food, and drinking crazy amounts of beer. Last time we went to the game was when the Lions played the pats in... well I dont know, whatever year that was. I won free tix at a stag. For the last few years we've hung out somewhere, cooked chili, chicken wings, and done pulled pork while consuming large amounts of alcohol... today that all changed... Last year, last minute we tried to locate the legendary Turducken. Which is hard to find US thanksgiving time, here in Canada... I found a local gourmet butcher to do one for me this year. It was incredible. He de-boned everything, the turkey, chicken and duck, wrapped and tied it all together... we made stuffing, gravy etc... had some potato salad instead of doing baked potatoes and missing most of the early game... I can tell you this... for those of you who have ever considered cooking, and eating a turducken but haven't yet.... Just do it. Its amazing. This thing was so damn moist, tasty, seasoned well through each layer... of course your experience will depend on your butcher... but ours was incredibly amazing.. my only complaint my butcher completely de-boned all three birds. I would have rather still had the turkey legs... and wings... but... whatever... So, while im Canadian, and not American... Happy Thanksgiving to you all down south.. and... if you havent yet... try yourself a Turducken, because its damn incredible!!!! Here's some pics for you all... Happy Thanksgiving Americans... from your fellow Dolphins fan from north of the border! and for those of you who think my criticism of Tanny makes me a hater... please take note of the Tannehill jersey im sporting!
