Luck game yesterday may have been a better illustration of what I think you're getting at.

RG3 just overthrew the **** out of his receiver, he was wide open deep and the pass was nowhere near.

So many dudes are quick to hate on tannehill, and say he isn't the guy, yet kap and rg3 who most say they would prefer over him are having worse seasons, both make terrible decisions with the ball and aren't playing good ball at all.

i don't think a lot of dolphins fans watch other teams very much, cuz IMO we are lucky to have tannehill.

Which is all 2nd year quarterbacks are struggling except Russell Wilson? I'm not a Tannehill hater but I'm not sure that you can compare him to the other because our O-Line is so terrible.

I watch tons of football and I agree with you. Get Tannehill a run game and Oline, then we can judge his playing ability.

Damn Boldin might be slow, but that dude vacuums any ball thrown in his general direction.

Wilson holds on to the ball a lot. But their O-line is poor too. Not as bad as ours, but still poor.

Better run blocking than the Dolphins. I watch a lot of Seahawks game because they are my NFC team.

I would say outside of Wilson (who is heavily supported in Seattle) and Foles (unsure how that scheme enhances QB play) that Tannehill has shown the most this year of all the young QBs.

Luck is starting to look very overrated and just doesn't look like a natural, rhythm passer. RG3? Just watch this game. C-Kaep - it's been long understood that he struggles beyond his first read.

Outside of some ranting on Colts boards yesterday, these collective fanbases are far more supportive of their young QBs than Fin Fans are. There isn't much of this "he's just not the guy" BS that you see on this and the other board.

All of those teams have more success in the last decade than the Dolphins so I can understand why some of our fans are impatient.

Could you imagine what this board would be like if Tannehill was performing at the level of RG3, C-Kaep this season or even Luck the past month or so?

Stop what? I'm not growing impatient with Tannehill but I can see why some people are on short fuses. I'm just trying to look at it from someone elses perspective.

it feels like the redskin crowd is ready to turn on rg, I think his team already has.

kaeprnick will be fine, folks can jump off any time, which they seem to do after every poor game he plays.

I'd be a better run blocker w/ Lynch running the ball.

I think it should be noted Miami has the 4th lowest % of 1st downs that are a result of the run game (23%) and that we have the 3rd fewest rushing first downs in the league (44; 9 of which come from Tannehill himself). And I shouldn't have to mention the # of sacks this year which are surely playing a part.

I'll assume the point you are trying to make is that it has more to do with Lynch than it does their O Line since you didn't actually make one. I'll agree that he is vastly superior to our running backs but their O Line is still better at run blocking than the Dolphins.

Until RT gets decent protection, we really cant judge him fairly. He is running for his life, getting sacked and hurrying throws. No QB can look good behind this O-Line

Yet he is looking like a competent NFL QB. People around here act as if he's been performing like RG3 did tonight.

He did look like RG3 tonight for a stretch. He's been better the last 2 games. Of course, he did not face the 9ers.

You're right. He dropped 310 with no garbage time stats and only 16 yards from his RBs against the number 1 defense that beat the aforementioned 49ers just two weeks ago.

yup.... and Washington scored just 9 points and lost the game. Meanwhile Kaepernick nailed a handful of downfield throws in tight windows and put up 3 TDs.

How would this board feel if we're 7-4 like Luck or Kaepernick? Pretty darn good. The only difference between the 4 teams is that in Miami, scoring 27 points makes us 10-1 right now. The other QB's don't have a defense like ours that shows up every week against anyone.

How would we feel with RG3? Better, since his offense is scoring an average of 26 points per game. With him at the helm, we're 9-2.

For your info.Tannehill is ranked 33rd in at a 61.7 qb rating in the 4th quarter.Compeletion % is 48.Sad part is we only 32 teams in the nfl.The long ball is not his only problem.Same issues he had at texas am.

Young Qbs struggle. I think the Original Poster hit the nail on the head, you have to be patient. Tannehill has progressed this season, RGIII and Kap have regressed and both have strong running games to bail them out. The Skins suck but RGIII is a BIG part of the reason that they stink. Tannehill is the only offense we have and we are in better shape than the Skins. The Tannehill hate has just gotten silly and ridiculous at this point. There are some truly terrible posts and posters that frankly don't understand what they are watching when they watch games. Its to be expected on a message board but still kind of sad at this point. I've been critical of Tannehill at times, particularly on his deep throws, but he's shown that he can improve and honestly he has looked better than RGIII and Kap this year.

Griffin is a typical running qb the doesn't have the wheels anymore because of the knee injury.Kap was never a great qb to begin with.Once they fiqured out how to counter the pistol and make them stand in the pocket they have been exposed.I don't think either of these guys is going to be a great qb in the future.

I think people need to stop getting their panties in a bunch when people criticize Tannehill's play. I've done it, and will continue to do so. Guess what, I'm usually doing it while wearing a Tannehill jersey on Sundays... just because someone may criticize a play, a throw, a decision... doesn't mean they hate the kid... people really need to relax and stop treating him like their own newborn child. That being said, I agree some people are taking it way overboard... but some people are just overly negative by nature, just like some are overly positive... Just dont get why everyone gets so offended when someone's idea doesn't coincide with theirs.
