We'll see, of course if this is serious Watkins moves to Yeatman's old role, and Dallas Thomas (remember him?) moves to Watkins old role, or David Arkin moves into Watkins role. I thought Yeatman did fine, am curious about Watkins, think he is probably a better straight ahead blocker, more powerful one anyway.
TBH, not even sure how much Yeatman played last week. Danny Watkins..the new Nate Garner...haz hopes?
Normally a solid source. Danny Watkins has been here awhile, he does have NFL experience. Not sure he can handle Tackle and G though
Ugh. I was looking forward to the Yeatman screen for a 30 yard TD. Seems like the project was going well too, I wish him well in his recovery.
An injury at tackle would probably necessitate moving Garner or Jerry outside then, and Watkins play guard.
I'm hoping that David Arkin sees the field next game. I talked to his dad Monday and hoping for the best.
On sweeps iirc, to me what this really hurts is now we really are down to 5 guys and Watkins. Similar situation Garner stepped up in 09, imo Watkins is a very similar player to Garner, probably more athletic though.
Yikes, torn ACL http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...olphins-lose-tackle-will-yeatman-to-torn-acl/ Would the last OL out the door please turn off the (Tannehill's) light...
Yeatman will be a RFA. He would not have been tendered anyway, but now he is probably gone for good. It's time to poach another tackle from a PS. I wonder what the status of Luke Marquardt is?
Dolphins injuries are a serious concern heading into Sunday’s San Diego game. Tackle Will Yeatman, who had begun receiving some playing time recently, suffered a season-ending torn ACL during practice Wednesday, further depleting a position already missing two starters in the wake of the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito fiasco. Yeatman, a former tight end, had played 12 snaps against Cincinnati and five against Tampa Bay. The Dolphins have a tackle on their practice squad: Jason Weaver, who went undrafted out of Southern Mississippi. He spent time with Tampa Bay during the summer and Cincinnati in preseason. The Dolphins could promote him or sign someone else. Six other players were limited with injuries Wednesday, including kicker Caleb Sturgis (groin) and three starting defensive backs: cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin), safety Reshad Jones (groin) and safety Chris Clemons (knee/hamstring). Hope he has a fast recovery as I do for just about any player in the league with an injury, but with that said, he's not any good at his position..
