Bad news for Dimitri Patterson (groin). He's listed as doubtful for Monday.

What's worse it's his groin, it ain't obvious going to be 100% till offseason, shame because when he's healthy he is an X-factor.

That's knd of a bummer. But fortunately Tampa has only one WR worth anything. Not a problem this week.

Of course he's doubtful, he's made of glass apparently.

apparently, he's an excellent corner with four interceptions. hope he's a go on game-day

How many years is his contract? Can we renegotiate and pay him per game played instead of per season?

Relevant because VJax is most productive from the slot and now our only option to cover him in the slot is Jimmy Wilson.

While I know Patterson has a good reputation for his play in the slot prior to coming to Miami... how much action was he getting in the slot in our system? I feel like he's mainly been playing on the outside in our scheme, but I could be wrong.

Put Dion on him? Ran Decently well with Gronkowski.

    Why so serious?

He and Sturgis are having groin issues, but gathered that both were going to be ready for Monday night. This really blows. He really has played well. Hopefully some of these younger guys can do well in his place.

The Bucs do not seem shy to throw, but Mike James should provide some stability in Martin's absence.

Man, ten days off and still can't get on the field? Not to mention Taylor and Davis. Those two guys are going to be like rookies next year if they don't start getting reps. Ugh.

hes number 2 in the entire league in interceptions.. and thats after missing what? 75% of the games?

You'd be a worse gm than Ireland.

If we can't stop Tampa's sorry passing attack without Dmitri Patterson, then we have bigger problems. Their receivers are Vincent Jackson, Tiquan Underwood, and Skye Dawson, and Timothy Wright at TE. Scheme to double Jackson if you must; no one else should scare anyone. Oh and there's a shaky rookie throwing it to them, and the kid wilts under pressure. It sucks Patterson is out, but really, Tampa's passing game is god-awful and this should not be an issue.

Well maybe not a lock but a strong likelihood he's released, he's 5.4 mil against the cap and injury prone. Add in the fact that we'll probably have a new GM...ain't looking too good for him. Me personally I would cut him, along with Wheeler, and I would try to trade Misi and Matt Moore for late draft picks. Getting rid of those 4 players frees up over 19 mil.

210 snaps, and 16 of them in the slot, according to PFF.

As for Wilson, there are 26 slot corners who've played 50% of their team snaps. Wilson is roughly in the middle on the three key PFF stats. 16th in cover snaps per target. 16th in fewest yards per cover snap. 12th in cover snaps per reception. That is about as middling as you could get.

So much for this being relevant to Vjax in the slot. I've been relatively pleased with Jimmy there the past few games. Well, he's not killin us at least.

Patterson was quite the find, not that he came cheap, however.
..................But lets flat out cut him, we dont need good players or draft picks, cap space is the ticket to success !! Its just funny now. Same generic response to everything..... He sucks, get rid of him. No, Not concerned with who'd replace him. NEXT !!

Hopefully we have him ready for SD,CAR.
