http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...artin-over-incognito-20131108,0,7726245.story While not totally scientific it is interesting non the less And an opposite view from the locker room in Miami. However, these players are not privy to all things that the Dolphin players are. But non-the-less interesting.
I wouldn't expect players who voted Incog one of the dirtiest in the league to have his back in this issue, especially based on limited info. Nice strategy by E!-SPN to try to throw more dirt on him though.
LOL this is so great!!! The vocal Richie supporters are all we hear though because Jon Martin's supporters NEVER SPEAK UP PUBLICLY. LOL.
Fine they can have him. He should be available soon - we'll see how long it takes for him to get snapped up, and how he does on another team.
Atleast 95% are just taking a side based on what they've heard. I believe most pro/college football players are not unlike Ritchie in most regards.... at least from my experiences with them. Especially lineman, backers, etc. Those type of people are certainly not for everyone. Martin seems to be the quiet, stay at home, guarded type. Hell I like that, but I would never tell someone with those characteristics they might enjoy playing football. Fat Chance of that. If Im on a team, and had to pick one.... give me the football player. " I want winners " If he becomes a problem you show his *** the door. Taking the guy with supposed mental issues and a poor locker room repore, whos done nothing but struggle on the field... isnt what any actual personnel dept would prefer.
Didn't he, since I'm new I had to see which fans turn on a dime when their opinions are tested and proved wrong and I see many many of his post he was very high and sure that Martin was an excellent pick up. If I was around during the draft, I would have withheld judgment until I can see the player start at least 3 or 4 games before making any type of evaluation. It is all about ego with some people, have to be able to say "I told you he was the next Richmond Webb". That's why I'm holding off any type of statement one way or the other on Dion Jordan. He's looked nice in a few snaps here and there but they don't give him the workload to really say "yes he's going to be the next Jason Taylor". They used to say you have to wait 3 full seasons before you can judge a draft. I don't hold that opinion with the time frame anymore. With the parity in the NFL and how teams are able to go from 2-14 to 11-5 or 12-4, the window I'd say is down to 2 seasons. You must produce quickly and consistently in this new NFL. The 2012 draft did produce Lamar Miller, Olivier Vernon (solid picks) Ryan Tannehill I don't know yet. But of course yes, Martin is an unequivocal failure, as far as a high draft pick, of the Ireland administration.
Why should we take sides ?Its pretty clear to that both players dont belong on the Dolphins and as soon as they are gone the faster we can move on.
The real problem here is that the standards of behavor considered acceptable within professional football culture are disgusting in normal society. But are they necessary for the sport to be what it is?
In normal jobs in normal society, you aren't asked to do what these guys do. There's a reason that virtually all physically tough and/or life threatening jobs generally have fraternities/brotherhoods. Cops, fireman, military, football, rugby, hockey, crab fisherman, etc. all overwhelmingly incorporate some sort of concept of hazing and physically paying dues to earn respect of veterans. This is obviously part of the human condition since its near universal.
you really are an idiot with this persistent, integrity-lacking, straw nonsense. He's never been my boy and I was never a fan, nor have I suggested I was. However, I did stand up for him as a young player transitioning to the NFL game just as I'll stand up for just about every young player transitioning b/c only a complete dumbass would run around calling every rookie a bust just b/c he doesn't play well or contribute early on. Here's a newsflash for you- your mindset toward young players isn't shared with anyone in the NFL, and if executives heard you talking you'd get laughed out the building.
LBsfinest, you have Cordarrelle Patterson as your sig, he has under 200 yards receiving on the season, it wouldn't kill you to post something you actually like about the team sometime. And I can't take any player outside of our locker rooms opinion on this case seriously......I see no reason why the Dolphins players would just choose to side with Incognito without a reason
I gotta believe that Martin and Cogs are both at the end of the spectrum of O line players. One overly quiet, one over loud.
