Just a heads up. I will be watching. Hopefully we can gain a little more light on this situation. Is it on the official MD site? Been trying to closely follow this thing, but never thought to check there. Have been trying to shake this flu, but waited entirely too long to use Tamiflu! Took the day off and am now able to catch up on some of this.

I am not sure that this happens, either, but no one really suggested otherwise (had an "aha" high school moment). The state of this franchise seems on hold until this thing blows over. I know you cover the team, and may have some contacts, etc. Do you think any backlash comes down from the league regarding this incident IF it is found to come out in a negative light? Maybe possible player/coaching suspensions?

It's obvious the team is fully behind Richie..they know there was nothing malicious even though the morons in the media can't find the angle of this type of joking.. Ryan Tannehill stepping up as a leader, really sounding distinct, speaking louder, just acting like a leader.. Coach was pissed off, he probably knew he had to suspend one of the teams favorite players for less than indicting reasons.. He wouldn't answer the question on whether he told his staff to toughen up Martin. Well, I finally got my pissed off team.. Lets go kick some *** the rest of the season..hopefully somehow Richie can come back.
These questions being asked of Tannehill are of no use other than trying to get a headline or Ryan to say something crazy. They could care less about Martin or even Incognito. Vultures and sharks

Tannehill seemed very sincere in his answers. Didnt have to think about anything. He said they both seemed like best friends and cogs said he considered martin his little brother... which Tannehill said was a very accurate depiction. The joke in the lunch room was something they did to everyone including tanny a few times. And all of the allegations are "mind blowing"
I am really surprised that the staff is allowing him to comment on this situation. Sometimes players are told to keep it hush hush. Refreshing to hear Tannehill's perspective.
I would agree...it sucks were losing a pretty good player and most def team leader..I hope Martin gets his mind right and becomes happy, but I don't like him as a player and don't think we're missing anything by his absense.

I think it was lucky who said it best when he said that he wakes every morning and says the same type of stuff to his best friends, I know I do the same.. Why the hell does the media think this was malicious, that's what's mind numbing, is to how ignorant these adults are about friendship p, ribbing each other, and football teams, maybe Richie is'nt the most acute when it comes to sensitivity awareness, but it's obvious now this team has his back.
