who will start on the Miami offensive line for the Patriots game? this is our first must-win game. will Jonathan Martin remain with the role of protecting Tannehill’s blind side, or will they move him to right tackle, benching Clabo & insert left tackle Bryant McKinnie? does Garner have a role to play at this point in the game? can't expect a different result continuing the same... as we watch Ryan Tannehill however slowly self-destruct, beaten into injury & seeing ghosts on the playing field. I have never seen him play this badly, not even in year one. the fix has to be at Foxborough. we're about another loss & pounding of our QB before starting Moore. this game will be won or lost in the trenches & it is very winnable if we simply protect the QB. any inside information? I can find nothing. what do you think?
Yep! Throw'em in the river and see if they can swim! We know the last grouping played like drowned rats!
I think McKinnie will start and Tannehill will just be a little more detailed in the playcalls to help him with formation.
The question is, will a lineup newly shaken up be worse than the previous lineup? It would be hard to do but that ultimately will decide who starts on the OL this week. I'm hoping it's Mt McKinnie, Cog, Pouncey, Jerry and Martin.
We seem to be in agreement that Clabo is warmed over garbage and Martin isn't very good on Tanny's blind side. If the coaches think that McKinnie is an improvement at left tackle, they stick the not very good Martin on the right, where Tanny can at least see the pressure coming, and move warmed over garbage to the bench.
Martin played relatively well vs the bills. Both him and Jerry looked serviceable or atleast tolerable. Problem last game and all season was clabo.
Orlando Alzugaray reporting that McKinney will play left tackle against the Patriots and that Martin is now the right tackle.
Instant upgrade at both positions..don't care how old or out of shape Bryant is, he is the way better player over Clabo and removing that slug from the equation is imperative, Mckinnine is better than Martin, Martin is better than Clabo..it truly is a win win, should of signed Bryant at the beginning and kept Martin on the right..but better late than never.
DAVIE — Plan A for addressing the Miami Dolphins’ pass protection problems is to get better play from the reeling offensive line in general and from new tackle Bryant McKinnie in particular. Plan B is to keep backup quarterback Matt Moore ready. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/s...ryan-tannehill-can-learn-from-tom-brad/nbXLY/
