Our defensive line is stellar. There is not one bad football player on that unit. Wake is All Pro. Soliai, Starks and Odrick are beasts in the middle and Vernon, Jordan and Shelby are all young guys who are improving and contributing. AND they get an automatic confidence boost every week by going against our offensive line in practice.
It's prove it time, they need to prove that they want to play for something bigger themselves...if you wanna do something great in this league, your gonna need to sacrifice and really come together as a team where nothing on the outside interferes and you become self motivated to accomplish one goal as a team, everyone doing their part at the highest level.
It's supposed to be 56 degrees with a slight wind and only a 20% chance of rain on Sunday in Foxboro, Mass. Hopefully that helps.
1) Brent Grimes is every bit the cover corner I'd hoped he be and someone we can all pine for a contract extension in offseason, rather than our usual, break the bank on upgrading the position. 2) no one on this board was more devastated than me when we lost Keller, but Clay looks like he's doing a good job in his place (although I still contend Keller would have been better). 3) I don't have to look at Dan Carpenter's stupid face/haircut anymore since we've upgraded at K 3b) Brandon Fields is still a monster punter. 4) Dion Jordan still has all of us very excited
I'm positive....this fanbase has jumped the shark. Seriously, i thought last year with the protests was bad, but now people want Marino, who never watched film as a player, to head the entire organization. I swear if Clabo didn't suck, which shocked EVERYONE, we're not having this conversation at all and are probably 5-1 or 4-2.
tom brady has failed to throw a td this season in two different game. their offense is struggling in a way that hasnt happened since tom arrived
I agree man...we played the worst of our schedule with a historically bad OL..and finished 3-3. Now..if I told you all the first 6 games..we would have given up this many sacks..and this kind of OL play..what would have predicted oud record to be Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Positive thoughts... Tannehill has his best game, throwing for 400 yards and another 3 TDs. The OLine shuffle doesn't surrender a sack. Wallace has a 100 yard receiving game. Miller has 100 yards rushing and a TD. DJordan sacks Brady 2 of the 4 sacks. Both Grimes and Patterson each have Pick 6's. We beat the Pats 42-12... but then again, I'll settle for just the win.
Yeah but those wins came with LUCKY LUCKY plays or last second wins. None were dominated or given victories. You can say the Browns one if you want but that wasn't how it appeared to be either. Positives for week 8? Sure. I am positive that I was be seeing a scoreline of 31 NE, 10 Miami. Man come 1 PM my mood might be crapped out.
B/c the last 3 games have detached fans from euphoria. Now the team has to simply be better, we are .500, could go either way, starts Sunday. For me, it's like Opening Day all over again, this time perhaps Clabo has a Toledo incident and bumps his head 4 times and can't start
Greg Schiano is under heavy fire in Tampa right now. The owners believe the roster has plenty of talent but the team has lost 12 of its last 13 games, with the only win coming in Week 17 against a team that had its playoff seeding already zipped up. Teams typically get a bounce off the bottom when they fire their Head Coach and promote an interim Head Coach. It's damn near clockwork if you look through NFL history. Dave Wannstedt is the Special Teams coach in Tampa. He's the only assistant on roster with Head Coach experience. The Buccaneers play the Dolphins on Monday Night Football in November. (/positive thoughts thread ruined)
LOL, honestly that is good to hear. Glad to hear that guy is getting older cause it seems like he won't give up the division title unless he's injured or retired.
Tampa plays Seattle on the road and should be 0-8 . Think Schiano is safe for now.would suck if Miami should lose to an 0-8 team , heads rolling
A win puts us back above 500, and builds some serious confidence. Tannehill is only getting better. Clay has been a HUGE surprise with consistency this year. He is the seam-buster.
Some perspective: IMO today's NFL consists of 3-4 great teams, 4-5 above average teams, 3-4 really bad teams, and 20 or so mediocre teams. Every year the mediocre teams shuffle around and 4 or 5 of those teams make playoff runs. We have been mediocre every year since the Cam Cameron debacle. I know we all have higher hopes of making the jump to an above average or great team, but at least we havent been one of the bad teams... I think we are on our way, we are young, and I believe have the most important piece of the puzzle, a franchise QB. Just need to block for the guy before he gets murdered out there.
