With Wake at 100% we are 3-0.

With Wake banged up we are 0-3.

Is Wake so good that his presence tips the balance enough to overcome our bad OL protection? The blocking and protection were poor in all three victories, remember.

Is it simply a question of getting our best player back to salvage this season and just accept that offensive improvements are a 2014 thing?

it's a part of the mix, he was limited in practice today BTW

This Staff is very cautious, to me, Dio should be seeing more reps to help take up some of the base D pressure slack from Kraken being nicked up.

Not that Vernon has been poor mind you, he is having a good year so far, it's more OV is not explosive off the snap and disrupting plays.

He's rated #13 by PFF in limited playing time. He has 3 sacks, 3 hits and 10 hurries. With him causing the pocket to collapse, a lot of other guys get more opportunities. Our pass rush from the eyeball test has went down substantially in his absence.

Long story long, we need him back if we're going to have a chance at salvaging this season.

He is probably the single best player on this team and the only player other teams/fans are really worried about. We need Cameron at 100%, nothing else.

We had 4 sacks & 6 hits against Buffalo. Could you image how tough life would've been for Thad Lewis if a fairly healthy Wake were added to that mix?

Best player on the team, of course they miss him. But reality is that everyone deals with injuries. Not really an excuse.

What we had left wasn't good enough to hold their Qb to under 50%?

If Wake is healthy, it'll allow Jordan to put the clamps on Gronk. ;-)
