1st time ever... The good: -- Tannehill came back strong after a god-awful start -- Good defense -- Fields is a great punter -- Thigpen awesome return at the end of the game -- Dion Jordan had good effort when given to him -- The Miami Heat season starts soon The Bad: -- Tannehills start of the game, vomit-inducing -- If Clabos starting next week, I quit. Hes a ****ing plague. --PLAY DION JORDAN MORE!!!!!!! Seriously, especially when Wake is not doing **** (hes obviously not healthy) Give the kid more snaps, hes EARNED IT!!!! -- Run defense when we KNOW they are running.....wtf?! -- Sturgis, gotta make that kick bro -- Philbin....we came out soft to start at home after a bye week....tats unacceptable... -- The biggest.....Mike sherman....holy ****. Conservative.....playing not to lose..... throwing with 3 minutes left up 1.....rolling the pocket to the right and cutting the field in half.....not running after putting up 120 yards rushing....Sherman is a joke. Hes pathetic. Period. Horrible scheme and gameplan after 2 weeks to prepare. God awful decisions. We are 3-3 with a lot of football to go in a questionable division. Tons more to unfold from now on.....but for now, today, we look like the same old 7-9 team from years past. FML
It sucks that you're getting banned for starting the game thread, resulting in today's loss. I'm sure gonna miss you....... Sent from my iPhone5S using Tapatalk - now Free
Clabo is the Devil. My Good Lord, if I could have reached through the screen and smacked him, and Don Jones up I would have.
Yep. Let's blitz on 3rd and long and never defend a screen. Overall the defense wasn't that bad. I think the penalty against Jenkins on Thad was a joke. Jimmy Wilson gave up some plays.
Losing to Bills wasn't bad enough? We have to get Sicks "wrap-up" The ban should've happened immediately after the game.
I wonder where we actually rank when it comes to 3rd down defense over the past 15-20 years, but I am too lazy to research it and try to find out.
What makes this even more sickening is that I honestly think we have a good team, yet we continue to **** the bed at the worst times. Clabo sucks, but he played very well for 55 minutes and then... I don't know what else to say. It's infuriating, frustrating and depressing. A month ago we were 3-0 and on top of the world. Finally feeling good after years of mediocrity, and here we are, 3 games later and right back to where we started: mediocre.
I think that's the misnomer of the day. Miami's defense looked good, for the most part. But they were playing a practice squad quarterback, and a stable of banged up running backs. The next two weeks could get ugly.
Before this game started I said "we win if we protect the ball" and OF COURSE, a pick-6 on the opening drive. A god awful INT in the red zone, and Clabo getting beat like a drum, and boom, another demoralizing loss. Thad Lewis couldn't and didn't do ****, and we STILL lost. At home, after a bye. I ****ing hate football sometimes.
Thank God I have this place to vent, otherwise bad things would happen. I'm in my room with the lights off and I want to take a sledgehammer to every wall in my house right now.
Season is done. The first three games were an illusion. These Dolphins pull the same crap all past Dolphins teams do. It must be something with south Florida. This team plays like absolute clowns in the first half of football games. You can blame that on the coaching. Clabo needs to be benched next week or I'm not watching. I know we can't beat the pats but I will not watch if Clabo starts. For the first time in my 25 year lifespan I actually hate football. I hate because I thought we finally turned a corner. It is heartbreaking to find out were are the same pile of mediocre crap. Jeff Ireland needs to be gone.
Clabo won't be on the team after tomorrow. Don't even worry about that, ain't nobody is going to put their job on the line by keeping that clown.
I can't think of a worse place to have to go after a loss and losing streak like this than to ****ing New England after they lost to the Jets. Then we get the Bengals 4 days later. We better find a way to win one of those games.
The fact we started 3-0 makes this worse. I actually started believing and investing in these clowns. We are where we've been the last decade, without any clue if we have the right guy at the three most important positions, GM, HC and QB. Tandy was awful the first half when the online actually played ok. Philbin isn't Cam Cameron but I see very little difference between him and Sparano. Ireland is Ireland. Nothing new to say there.
I like our defense but considering we are 3 points against the saints from being only the 3rd team in the nfl that scored 20+ points in every game this season shows our defense is lacking something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Perhaps, to me he is meat, a byproduct, all that matters is his cap hit if we waive him. Good God, it's like his presence mocks every Dolphins fan.
Who should we start sucking for (draftee) the rest of this season? Oh wait ... we've already started sucking
Bull****, Dj. He brought us up to winning in the 3rd and 4th quarter, you cant keep falling back to first quarter plays. He did enough to have us in position to win, not one person in that locker room will blame this on RT. And off topic, but man that crowd was pathetic today.
It's not BS sick, he has to set the tone and he didn't, that's on him, he made the critically bad play first.. When it is preached all week about starting fast and that's how the Qb leads you out of the get, you gotta take the hit.. The games are made up of a few mistakes here and there to decide the outcome..The Qb made three crippling ones.... Right? Can't do it out the gate, he's got to make some split second decisions that alter the outcome of plays..In the beginning of the game, he's got to be more self serving in a way, he's got to make first downs at all costs to set the tone..
Wallace blamed it on Ryan Tannehill. You don't have to read too hard into what he said to get it. Our Head Coach is a prior O-Line coach. His O-Line coach just said that Clabo is one of the best in the game. I know it's after another let down, another loss, but if Ross were to take the coaches/GM's contracts and light 'em up, I wouldn't complain.
In all fairness Deej, The whole team was flat as hell early. Sure it was a mistake but it certainly didn't decide the outcome. Tannehill did good things despite the two mistakes. Lamar Miller is still not impressive. He had one nice run. I saw him tip toeing a few times. This team still can't run the football except with DT. Creates added pressure. You know that. Clabo is a god damn turnstile. Did you see Tannehill get slammed by Mario Williams and get right back up? Toughness. Don't give him all the grief man. You're barking up the wrong tree.
true... Jenkins... he made one play on a screen to Jackson I think it was before the end of the first half, that if he doesn't make it, I think Jackson is still running. Instead he tackles him short of the first, we get the ball back, and close the lead just before half time to three points. I actually thought we were going to win after that. now the penalty on Jenkins that had Tasker spitting vile hatred and begging Goodell to fine him, that was NOT a dirty hit on the quarterback. Jenkins helmet hits Thad on the shoulder pad, just the sheer force of the hit though is enough to knock the QB's helmet off. Of course, I bet Jenkins is fined for that hit... it seems that whenever the refs get it wrong against us on a play like that, we get fined during the week as a way of the NFL wanting to "confirm" their idiocy and shield a bad call.
Bellichick doesn't lose two games in a row very often. Better teams [<cough> <cough> the Saints] have tried to make that happen recently and failed. When the trick or treating's done on Halloween night this team will have a 3-5 record and possibly be in last place.
Well then explain to me why the WHOLE team is flat coming off a bye, after a loss, with the head coach and team, stressing the importance of a fast start?. At the beginning of the game the Qb made a critical mistake, he allowed a good rookie corner to read everything he was doing, THAT cannot happen if your stressing fast start, if it does happen, you risk losing control of the tempo and your gameplan, and the mentality you brought into the game. My point is, the Qb has as much to blame as anyone else for this loss.. How you say a pick six on the first drive didnt affect the outcome of the game is hard to understand.
actually... your post made me remember Wheeler and him not being able to wrap up the tackle on the Bills' running back on their last drive. We could have gotten the ball back with more time on the clock (imagine that). Instead, they milk the clock down to 34 seconds and the rest is history. Wheeler has been very very very inconsistent this season. to say the least. our linebackers have been the weak link between offensive mistakes and losing games.
