I heard an interesting thought on Crowder's show yesterday. One of them (forget who) actually thinks that Soliai going down allowed us to rush the passer more effeciently. Soliai is more effective versus the run, his injury allowed us to go with the lighter, quicker combo of Starks and Odrick in the middle. What do you guys think? At any rate... This is why you franchise a guy like Starks instead of trading him like so many people wanted.

this is why I said last week before the injury that Ireland shouldn't give either Starks or Soliai a new contract before season's end, in case one of them gets hurt.
I think it's a bit too early to say for sure but Soliai has been reasonably useful rushing the passer as a Nickel DT.
