Thinking about blacking out my trucks chrome trim... had a few friends recommend Plasti Dip... anybody use it before? Any feed back on whether it chips?

I used it on my motorcycle. I used it on my wheels and some other chrome pieces. Works great, and still holding up since February.

I've used it to black out my emblems on my Jeep, worked well. Just make sure you do like 6 coats so that way it peels away easy. Just tape a bunch of newspaper around the area leaving a rectangle around the part you want to spray. It peels right off the car paint as long as you do enough coats. I also did my rims about 8 months ago and it's still going strong.

Have you considered the water transfer process? It is new and quickly becoming very popular. Not sure if it can be easily removed though.

Rims, car body parts, gun stocks, phone cases, you name it, people are doing it.

There are also home kits available.
