I thought I'd post my boys highlight video from the 2012 season. Keep in mind he is only a sophomore. He played this year at 6'3 290 (Strongside Tackle). He is number 77 and will always be on the strongside. The TE next to him BTW is #20 and just to give a size comparison #20 is 6'4 260 (He got a full ride to Frsno State this year). My son is just starting to get contacted for summer camps, etc from Oregon, Oregon State, and about a half dozen other D1 and D2 schools. One funny story that happened was University of New Mexico was very high on him and "thought he could play for them right now" when they mistook him as being a senior prospect rather than a 10th grader. They offered him a recruiting trip on january 18th and had full intention of offering him a full ride before he left to return home. They were disappointed with the news when I informed them he was only a baby. Here's his highlight. He needs to get stronger and has already trimmed down to 275 since the season ended. He also needs to have more high impact plays upfield. That's our primary task heading into his junior year. On the first play in the highlight, he splats a blitzing OLB on the right side. It happens very quickly so keep your eyes open. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X74RjKFsDCc
Re: The DOLFANMIKE son highlight thread Looks like he could play in Miami. Iowa churns out NFL linemen... just saaaying!
Ireland loves the linemen. Who knows, if he's still here five years down the line. Not far fetched...
One question....why the heck doesnt the running back always follow Route77??? seriously, its like your boy has to pull a Csonka moment, "when he had the entire OL member by member pull him by the facemask and say if your facemask isnt behind my backside on this play I will personally beat you down"....on the road to the perfect season. Sheesh....a huge hole where 77 started and I am watching runnings backs get tripped up trying to bounce it outside....SMH.....the coaches must be incensed.
Update: We are 3-0 at my new coaching job. We are leading CIF in scoring. Here is Codi's highlight from this week. We are in black and he is #77 He is currently being heavily recruited by Oregon, University of New Mexico, and San Jose State http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/2664970/#highlights/73656460
