NFLN will be doing their top 100 players of 2013 pretty soon and I'm curious how many of your players you think will make the list? For the Texans I'd say Locks: JJ Watt Peyton Manning Von Miller Andre Johnson Jonathan Joseph Has a chance: Adrian Wilson
For Seattle I think these are the players on my roster that will make it: Russell Wilson Steve Smith Mike Wallace Max Unger Justin Smith Richard Sherman Earl Thomas Champ Bailey Wouldnt be surprised if the following made it as well... Trent Richardson Bobby Wagner Derrick Morgan Akeem Ayers
I think Corey Graham, Michael Griffin, Benjarvus Green-Ellis, Michael Oher, and Richie Incognito will make it.
New York Giants would expect to see: Eli Manning Victor Cruz Jason Pierre Paul Hakeem Nicks Quentin Mikell We would hope to see also in the list: Justin Tuck Will Beatty Chris Snee Kevin Boothe Lawrence Tynes
For sure: Ray rice Demariyus Thomas Brandon Marshall Andrew whitworth Geno Atkins Michael Johnson Lawrence Timmons Brian Cushing Maybe Andy dalton Jermaine Gresham Jay Ratliff Aqib talib Reggie Nelson
Actual players that were ranked in the top 100: Peyton Manning (2) JJ Watt (5) Von Miller (9) Andre Johnson (14) Stephen Tulloch (63) 4 of the top 15 ain't too bad.
We had two (Gates, Wake) but IMO it is a complete joke that two Baltimore Raven wide receivers made the top 100 list... and Torrey Smith wasn't one of those two.
Using Pro Football Focus's Top 100, my Bills team last year ended up having a few: 4. Von Miller 10. Pat Willis 18. CJ Spiller 22. Kyle Williams (told you dingies he's a stud ) 29. Calais Campbell (worth every penny I forked out in FA) 55. Russell Okung (trade worked out nicely) 75. Tarrell Brown (quality FA pickup) ... plus Thomas DeCoud made the Pro Bowl so that $7.0M initial bid on him doesn't seem too bad in retrospect. ... and Donnie Avery was a FA steal at 500k. Connor Barwin had a down statistical year thanks to Whitney Mercilus being groomed to take over, but he was still rewarded in FA for the stud he is. Overall that's a significantly upgraded Bills team if I do say so myself. Unfortunately I feel the GM league seems to place too much emphasis on offense and not enough on building a great defense when absent a franchise QB b/c obviously not all 32 teams will have one to build around.
