Sage forumites, I need some advice. I have been offered a big time trade, the type that can easily win or lose a season. This is all in a standard non-PPR league. My opponent is offering: Cam Newton Arian Foster Donald Brown Denarius Moore Greg Olsen For: Aaron Rodgers (still has a bye week coming up) Alfred Morris Andre Brown Torrey Smith Antonio Gates If I accepted, my starting roster would be: Newton Reggie Wayne Jordy Nelson Foster RB of the week (I would still have DeMarco Murray, Stevan Ridley, Mendenhall and now D. Brown) Olsen D. Moore in the flex (or one of the RBs above) My inclination is yes, do it. If it makes any difference, I have Schaub on my bench. Cam Newton is in a buy low moment imo and Alfred Morris' schedule gets noticeably more difficult soon.
Foster is the only player Id want from that list, the rest is crap or borderline flex plays that arent healthy (Brown). Reject it and tell him to come back with a real offer
Thanks all, I did reject it. I think its smart to make Aaron Rodgers off limits. No one is likely to score as may points as him. I'd move a three man combo of anything else for Foster though. But I don't think he feels it is worth it (he is right).
I would offer Murray (big name, probably highly picked) Mendenhall (big name, lower pick) and Andre Brown for Foster. See if he bites.
We never do trades cause you never counter. I always make offers for players I like. Irregardless, you always test the waters and your best offer doesnt have to be your first one
