Default Dolphins - Jets, Lowest attended game in Dolphin History?

    http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/m...,3183240.story

They are yet to sell 51,000 seats for this game.

My source inside the Dolphins tells me that they have sold around 48,000 seats for this game so far, which would threaten for the lowest attended game in JRS/Sun Life history.

I thought there would be a bump due to all the Jets fans in Miami.

Might be the opposite. Dol-Fans figure we'll lose and don't want to be talked trash to in their own stadium.

I still don't expect a local TV blackout though.

Holy ****... still if we win this weekend and can put up some more it should fix itself but if we lose... at some point you have to wonder if Ross won't just give Irelands to the fans as an offering.

He probably is hoping for Berlin Dolphins or Stuttgart Dolphins... I'll take LA for $600 Alex.

Wow, this is with the Jets fans and Tim Kardashian coming. Granted there will probably be far less Tebow/Gator fans than "Gator Day" last year.

The game on Sunday at least didn't look toobad with 58,000...but less than 50,000 would be awful. Cincinnati averaged 49,000 last year. Miami might go lower if they don't have some winning streak, and even that might not help this season.

They at least beat out the openers for St. Louis and Tampa Bay this season, but those teams may end up being more consistent with attendance. Yes, Jacksonville gets better attendance now than a bunch of teams including Miami. Tickets are probably dirt cheap in Jax, but still.

The only bright side is this is a recent thing...two years ago and every year prior Miami was at least top 15 in attendance, so a trip to the playoffs and some actual winning seasons will bring it right back up. But who knows how long we'll have to wait for that.

Seeing those empty seats week after week for the last several years is embarrassing and pathetic.
