    Default Hartline has Appendectomy

Brian Hartline's minicamp absence was due to an appendectomy, but he's expected to be ready for training camp.
Hartline made the disclosure in a recent radio interview. There's no such thing as a minor surgery, but with well over a month to recover, Hartline should be 100 percent for camp. Kansas Citiy's Matt Cassel started a game just 11 days after undergoing an appendectomy in 2010. Perhaps we'll learn more about Hartline's surgery on Hard Knocks, which will also shed light on his quest to earn Miami's No. 1 receiver job.

Those sound like fun. My brother's was leaking and they had to rush to get it out.

    Good times.

Maybe this reduction in organ weight will increase his speed. :P

I'm praying I never have to go through one of those even though the surgery is rather routine. My brother also had his taken out.

How heavy is an appendix? Over or under 7lbs?

Typically they weigh less than half a pound. It would be the same as him taking a good sized dump.

That was a reference to Daniel Thomas's 7 pound gain this off-season.

Because nothing would ruin his year like a vestigial sac filling up with poop and then assploding.
