    Default Floyd Staying in Jail

A judge in Las Vegas says Floyd Mayweather Jr. must stay in jail.

Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa denied late Wednesday an emergency motion seeking to have Mayweather serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.

Saragosa says Mayweather's complaints about not having enough to drink or eat are self-induced.

Mayweather's lawyers had argued that the undefeated champion boxer's health was declining and he might never fight again if he was not released.

Mayweather began a three-month jail sentence June 1 for attacking his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched.

His lawyers claim Mayweather's health is deteriorating because he's confined to his cell 23 hours a day and can't exercise.

Police say jailers are keeping Mayweather out of the general inmate population because he's a celebrity.

And now his dad is crying racism on twitter

Just one more reason I really can't stand him or his family.

I'm sure Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have been informed and are on the case.

Is the ex girlfriend black? If so, then no. They would probably stay as far away as possible from that.

Well I guess we'll never see Floyd and Manny fight since Floyds body and skill are going to deteriorate.

I was being facetious.. if a fighter that beats a woman can't hang for 3 months in jail then I really don't know what to say.

    Sounds like.....jail.

He understandably doesn't want to be in general pop (nor should he be there). So this is how it's gonna be.

Love that he wanted to serve out his time under house arrest in his $25 million mansion.

You can bet he is eating exactly what he wants, when he wants! If he has trouble getting it, he can simply pay a gaurd to bring it for him. I do doubt that he is in population as well but if he was, he'd have every single brother watching his back 24/7...

The only people I've ever known who enjoy jail are people from prison gangs. Even 3 months sucks.

Its not a matter of enjoyment. Its making the best of the time that you are SENTENCED to. With his money, he can live exactly as he did on the outside except the comfort part of being home and the fact that, if he is in solitary confinement, he can only see the sun for an hour a day if he wants it.

He thought he was going to get probation and I guess that backfired on him didn't it? He shoulda got a lawyer to get him off or probation instead of thinking he'd only get a slap on the wrist.

Jail still sucks. Having any amount of your freedom taken away still sucks.

It has to do with what was said by the original post. He's trying to get out on probation. You can buy judges but I guess this one aint biting. He pleaded guilty to something so apparently he didn't think jail would suck that much. He must have changed his mind once he got inside. Where he is at, and I'm sure it's not a maximum risk facility, he can relax for 3 months. He won't hate it much once he starts to adapt...

Dude you sound like you're just arguing to ague. How many times have I said since he has no choice, he can make the best of it. Jail is not THAT bad and especially where he's at, which is Clark County Detention Center. It's not prison. It's a county jail and with his money, it can be like living in a clubhouse! He will be around sentenced inmates that are doing no more than 364 days. Fights are extremely rare because they all want gain time to make their sentence around 10/10.5 months.

So again, he'll be just fine....

    1) no I'm not arguing to argue. I'm just debating. You can't handle it, don't reply back to me.
    2) Again any loss of freedom sucks.
    3) Yes, he can buy some things, but the key word is some things in jail.
    4) Inmates still fight, especially since they often use jail to house those awaiting trial, etc.
    5) He will probably be fine, but either way I have never heard anyone say, jail was just fine or ok.
