Clyde is starting a B.I.M (believe in Miami) movement. I think Phillbin will put this guy in position to make some plays and really open the field and show us his speed. It would be nice to get something out of him this season with the absence of Brandon. What do guys think about his potential this season? http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...e-gates-pushes-believe-in-miami-movement.html
Ah-hah I've been critical of CGates lack of production, if he was playing with a bum groin that helps to explain why he did not show more. Wonder if DTrain had a similar issue?
IIRC correctly, didn't Thomas have some hamstring issues during the early portion of the season? After the Browns or Chargers game I believe is when it started and that sort of gave way to Reggie Bush's rise. Reggie didn't really do much of anything until that first Jets game.
Yeah that was surprising to hear about his injury. So now I'm hoping we can see that speed open up the field.
How the hell can you look that fast with a torn groin? I mean yeah he didn't produce but he looked BLAZING at times.
Here's a chance for football to regain some culture and spirit in our town and team, let's hope the fans don't let them down.
Hard to tell without seeing what type of shoes each has on. I don't think their heights are greatly dissimilar but a pair of flip flops vs hoop shoes can add a couple inches to a person. Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
Things is OF, the Garrard signing is not what most wanted to happen, and subtracting Marshall and not adding anyone to replace him has put a wet blanket on the offseason. To me, we are well positioned IF we were more of a power running/good defense team, however Philbin was brought in to boost the passing attack..so which way is the team headed?
It's still a bit early to be formulating what this team will be able to accomplish. We haven't even had a practice, OTA or anything other than a couple of days of weight room activity, BTW, something this team needed a lot of work at given what they showed last season. The draft is yet to come and there are still a few FAs out there that might be interesting additions for depth...there isn't reason to melt down and panic, but it's nice to hear that some of the players are ready to start the process...
Hey....its just nice to see a player....trying to get something like this going....usually its a fan...
That's what I wana know. I guess it depends how bad you tore it. I just sprained mine in Sept and I wasn't running anywhere for like 5 months. Then again I don't have access to that platelet treatment Still that makes me much more optimistic about him.
Maybe that's why he only had like 3 catches. What if he was used as a diversion speed threat to open the field for the other guys.
Why would you think we are not heading in that direction (boosting the passing attack?). Philbin is in it for the long run (at least in his mind). The regime jettisoned Marshall for the long-term success of the team, even if we now have to overcompensate for him in the short-term. Garrard is nothing more than veteran-temporary insurance, plain and simple. Garrard doesn't bother me because I know he's a one-year band-aid. IF (and it's a big if) Garrard stays healthy and blossoms in Philbin's system, beats our Moore, allows our rookie QB to sit for a year or year and half, then it's a huge blessing. I doubt that scenario pans out, but I don't really see the negative in signing Garrard. The MAIN thing that excites me right now is that we FINALLY have an offensive minded coach that the players will respect and can install an actual succesful system in Miami. Cam Cameron was not the same. I watched every one of Cam's game's in Indiana, and the only reason he was respected after a few years of utter failure is that Antwaan Randle-El, one of the best college QBs in the big 10 in a long time, carried his sorry coaching butt. Marshall getting traded is a hiccup that we will deal with by next year. I could see us picking up a vet this summer too.
i always wondered why gates never saw the field. maybe the injury was why? thomas def got put on lite duty after the hamstring injury which is another reason why i dont get why people are so down on him.
Definitely the guy that I had the highest expectation of exceeding his draft value last year and.... biggest disappointment. I couldn't figure out why. He can fly by most guys and was behind a few times and just didn't connect this year. I love the attitude and that's at least what I want to see out of him. He should expect to be a bigger part and contribute more. Now he'll have a full offseason, no excuses and and show it.
Gotta like the attitude. We have a serious need at the WR position, would be great if Clyde can step up and help fill that hole.
I believe there is a requirement to catch more than two NFL passes before you can start a movement....
He sure was impressive comin out of college, and at the combine, if you can get him from having to beat jams at the Los all the time, He's a very talented receiver, should be effective...dude has a sick vertical and broad jump, blazing speed, and can catch the football, there must have been something seriously wrong why he didn't flash. Dude is gonna be 26 years old before the season starts, he better make it happen this year..
Nice to see that the players haven't given up on the season, seeing as how we didnt get Manning and all.
