As much as this off-season has been debated for some questionable events, there is still one thing that cannot be debated.

It is certain that we are better than the Jets. My God, look at their team. Full of conflicting personalities and feelings going around. Loud mouth coach Ryan with Sparano. I wonder how lunch goes when Sparano is eating grilled jumbo rat after walking the stadium earlier and Rex is watching porn with 7 Dorrito tacos.

Sparano: Hey Rexy, how's the weight loss?
    Ryan:*#hy)7*/full k
    Sparano: That's great, that's solid!

That's not even the worst of it. Tebow.
Think of Sanchez and his weak mind and pit Tebow behind him you're just asking for it, are you not? He already felt Tebow after Tebow out ran the Jets defense to win the game. He knows he's scared, and so do we.

Besides the great story giving over the Jets headquarters, that is not why we are better. We our better because of our rosters.

    AS WE STAND NOW...

    -QB-
Moore was better than any QB the Jets have on their roster, add Garrard, advantage Dolphins.

    -RB-
    Shaun Green. Joe McKnight.

    -WR/TE-
I personally like the future of Wallace and Moore in this offense. You could also throw in Pruitt for that matter. I wonder who we get rid of, I also wonder how much a Bess trade would get us? My best guess would be a 3rd from the Pats. Look at the Jest and the have Holmes. I love his talent but they are as slim as us behind him. Just like WR the Jets may have the #1talent in the TE group but we have the better top #2.
    Hartline/Bess-Holmes & Fasano/Clay-Keller

    -OL-
I believe Murtha is our RT this year, throw in Long we have the two better tackles. And if you match Pouncey with Mangold we aren't losing as bad as they are on the outside. I think we could call a draw at the guard position.

I don't even think it's a question that we have the better defense. According to a Cromartie tweet he is moving to FS. As of now I think Jones is our SS while Clemons and Culver are the free safeties. No matter where you put Marshall we have the better depth across backend of our defense.

Who is the Jets biggest pass-rusher, Golston? We have Wake, Dansby, and Burnett for out corp; they have Harris. With Solai back we definitely have the better DL, no doubt.

Now we can argue till we are all blue about who or what we should draft and acquire in FA but as of now, we are the better team when you look at talent alone

I personally am excited for Philbin's game plans and scared of the fact that Tebow may actually be the second coming but I think we can agree we should at least be able to beat up on the Jets for a couple years.

Just wanted to get that out there. And without doing any research because this whole article is opinion, I think we have more and better picks this year.

Hope we can all sleep better tonight.

Man I will take a hit of that......

On paper, we are 4th in the east probably 0-6 in the division. Philbin is the obvious wildcard. Can he shine this terd up? God I hope so and I am holding out hope for it. As of now though, we are 3-13 and there are no real facts to argue otherwise except for the possibility of going 0-16. Remember we went 6-3 in the last 9 games, but we have a whole new system, one less #1 receiver, one less veteran leader at safety, and a whole bunch of extra ????????

Gholston isn't even on the Jets. Put down the crack pipe. How you can talk that kind of smack is beyond me.

The Jets suck though. Being better than them isn't necessarily a good thing.

  6. We re-signed Gholston?? Can i have some of what your smoking?

Matt Moore was the 2nd best QB in the AFC east when all was said and done. And it wasn't even close. Marshall is gone but no 1st time HC should be saddled with the drama he brings to the locker room. I agree there are plenty of question marks, but I also realize Sparano and Daboll had to be more concerned with proven talent than developing prospects given their time frame. Maybe wait for the off-season and draft to unfold before committing harikari.

As for the OP, step away from the coffee table.

Fair enough. But the OP's comparison was half baked at best.

Not going to lie, I didn't read it.

Personally, I believe both teams are competing for third as of now. I think New England has first place locked up, and the Bills are on the rise and surpassed us.

There was a lot of exaggeration in my OP but seriously who are your passrushers?

wow. the only thing that makes us better than the jets is that we actually know we are rebuilding. I'd rather go 0-16 one season and get better than be 8-8 every like the jets. sanchez plus sparano...wow.

the best case for us as dolphin fans? tebow comes in around week 6, wins some games then the jets stick with him liek the broncos almost had to do. hello missing the playoffs/one and done for 3 years!

I have read on here where several posters have stated that many football analyst have stated that the Dolphins are close to turning it around and are only a few players away from being a playoff team. Obviously these football analyst must not be part of the ESPN panel which recently put together the pre-season power rankings for 2012.

The Dolphins were rated #28 of 32 teams and projected to finish last in the AFC East next season. Obviously this is just one ranking but it certainly doesn't appear that there is a lot of positive expectations for the Dolphins as they head into next season, by those at ESPN who rate the football teams right now.

The AFC East blogger on ESPN generally seems to hate us. Shocking. I read one of his responses to an email:

    http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/40286/walkers-weekend-mailbag-more-tebow

Also he personally put us at number 31 in the rankings. 28 wasn't low enough to suit him.

The day I start caring about ESPN's power rankings would someone please have me committed into the mental ward of the nearest Sanitarium?

The Jets are a 1 man football team', now 2 with Tebow..

I actually respect the fact that they brought Sparano and Tebow in and will implement a hybrid offense, it's what I wanted them to do here, but they failed evolving the offense..

The ESPN power rankings may not be relevant to you but, Las Vegas presently has the Dolphins as 50-1 to win the Super Bowl next year. Those are the same odds as the Buffalo Bills and far greater odds than the Patriots and Jets. So the men who make their living setting the odds in Vegas on football feel that the Jets and Patriots are superior teams to the Dolphins right now and the Bills are at least equal to the Dolphins.

Actually this is how I feel about the division also and it doesn't surprise me in the least that the Dolphins are seen as such a long shot going into next season. I believe the Dolphins are in another rebuilding period under Philbin and I think it will be at least another 3-4 years before they are legitimate playoff contenders in the AFC.

You know why they call them odds? Because it's still based on probability. Think about it you are trying to use men who make their living at it, and say that it should be more meaningful even though you know, they are basically saying they might be wrong.

What were the odds of the Giants winning last year?

Why would our odds be good? We were 6-10 last year. Luckily instead of staying put, we changed our entire coaching staff.
